I agree. Even though Milwaukee is white hot, the Cavs almost beat them at their place with LBJ and a few others hurt.

On another note, you have to love Gibson! He just comes in when he's asked and plays well. I feel bad for the guy that Brown obviously isn't his biggest fan.
Gibson needs to play 15 minutes a night. At 49% from behind the arc, it creates tremendous defensive problems for the other teams.

Last night I thought his defense was just average, but more times than not, he has played really well at that end of the court too.

The stellar play of DeLonte of late, and the return of Gotti's 3ball touch does make it tough to find minutes. And nobody can claim steady Parker should sit a lot too. And damn, where did that game come from last night, Jawad Williams?

Right now (well, since the holidays), the Cavs have been every bit as hot as last year's miracle team. Last year's team did a little better at contesting the 3, and their 4th quarter lock downs were better. Not saying at all that this year's defensive team is lacking in ability or effort. because they don't. Just another tribute to coach Brown not accepting anything but 100% effort and excellence at that end of the floor...especially during crunch time.

To the slight (very slight) decline in defensive productivity, the Cavs have offset this with great execution at the offensive end especially in the 4th quarter. Last night's 38 point explosion was a good example of this.

As for LBJ, he had one of his worst halves of the season. Free throws were bad, shots were bad, turnovers and blown layups. But as we all know, when it's time to carry the team, he carries the team. Finding Gotti for 3 wide open 3balls were things of beauty.

I just hope that none of our key cogs go into shooting slumps in the playoffs, especially from brehind the arc.

Last years team was not better at 4th quarter lock downs.

Exactly, not even close to this years team.

Well, since they are playing only 15 games, obviously I meant a 14-1 record. Only Milwaukee at home and the Spurs on the road could ruin my prediction.
Being up 6 games with 3 to play will ruin your prediction. I see them resting the starters the last few games as they have historically.
They won't be up 6 with 3 to play in March...they still have 7 or 8 games to play in April. I don't see then resting anyone until the best overall record is clinched.

So, unless the Lakers go into a horrible funk, the Cavs will keep the petal to the metal untll the deal is sealed.
I just thought of this post. Cavs up 6 games, rest starters for rest of season.

Ha...you are a tad obsessed I'd say. Whereby your prediction came true, my prediction was also dead nuts on. The caveat I listed in my post referenced the Lakers going into a funk....whereby the Cavs would in fact rest. Well the Lakers did go in the shitter and as such, the Cavs were indeed able to rest.

Last year's team most definitely was better in fourth quarter lock downs.

You and Swimmer have really poor memories.

    Ok.
