SQ_CraziesIt's actually funnier than that, because you were the first one to respond to my post--didn't take long to find an illiterate ratard.

the I can dunk so I know argument...Why are you trying to force people to believe what you believe to be the best? Every time there is an argument, you try and force your shit down people's throat because "you are always right"SQ_Crazies wrote:

The dunk on Zo was about 10 times better than the Olympic dunk.
To anyone who disagrees, I have a question. Can you dunk? Don't worry, I'm not going the route of the guy who thinks you have to be able to to have an opinion on the matter. I'm just wondering, because I can dunk. And I can jump over shit to dunk, but dunking on someone like that is a whole different animal.
I mean, I can't jump over Weis. But I'm not 6'6 with a 40+ inch vertical. I'm a 6'5, out of shape white boy.
the olympic dunk was actually better though imo -

DeyDurkie5lol you said that right after saying can anyone here actually dunk? Oh but it's okay he said he isn't using that argument so let's all forget he said it! SQ crazies is the man!
whoops forgot the typical LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!! -
SQ_CraziesI mean if you want to take the douche bag low road and assume I wasn't being sincere in saying that, then whatever. It was a legit question, but a layup isn't much different and anyone can do that. You can jump over something to lay a ball in, harder when you're taking contact and being contested.
Does that suit you better? For fuck sake man, stop making yourself look like an idiot. -
DeyDurkie5
I would say it's equally as hard, especially when the person you are jumping over is over 7 ft. But, because you don't agree with that, here comes the "LOL at durkie thinking it's not as hard to make a contested jam!"SQ_Crazies wrote: I mean if you want to take the douche bag low road and assume I wasn't being sincere in saying that, then whatever. SQ_CraziesYeah, you would say that. Because you aren't Vince Carter. If you had his size and athleticism you might think differently.
-
DeyDurkie5
and if you had lebron's athleticism and sheer massiveness, you wouldn't think it would be that difficult. I mean he is a massive human, a little contact shouldn't make a difference when it comes to finishing a dunk.SQ_Crazies wrote: Yeah, you would say that. Because you aren't Vince Carter. SQ_CraziesUmmm...you lost me...
-
2quik4uConsidering 1 person ever has jumped over a 7 footer and dunked. Dunks with contact happen all the time. Now you tell me what is harder

SQ_CraziesWhen does the situation ever present itself in a game? Never, and no one risks what they know might happen if it does--doesn't mean other guys couldn't do it.
And your statement is flawed because Nate Robinson jumped over Dwight Howard. 5'6...
It was a spectacular play, stop trying to make it sound like I'm saying it wasn't even impressive. -

It is presented I would say at least once a game but no can do it cause it is almost impossible. Now your going to come back with well Nate did it. It wasn't during a game buddy.SQ_Crazies wrote: When does the situation ever present itself in a game? jpake1Howard isn't 7ft either. Doesn't matter, just sayin'.
-
HeelzRobinson also put his hand on Howards shoulder to help him get over, just thought I would throw that in too.
-
SQ_CraziesCarter put his hand on Weis's shoulder too. Weis also ducked, he wasn't a true 7 footer we Carter went over him either. I can play this game too.
And you're completely retarded if you think that that situation presents itself in every game. And like I said, others could do it but I didn't say the whole NBA. It was a great dunk, but it's overrated. It doesn't present itself in every game, that has to set up perfectly to be able to do it--and when you're on the court, your first thought isn't to jump over him. That just isn't how a basketball mind works. I doubt that was even Carter's thought, his thought was to go strong with it. I bet if you asked him, he expected to be fouled.
Jumping over something and being contested are not equals. You're stretching your argument A LOT to say that, and you know it. It's a hell of a lot harder to take contact that kills your momentum and still be able to throw the ball down--especially when it happens with a GIANT HOF shot blocker. There is much more difficulty there then just using the abilities of your body to jump over something--especially when the something just stands still and becomes a prop. Carter is 6'6 and at the time probably had a vertical somewhere in the mid 40's. So jumping over a 7-footer isn't crazy, it's math. He should be able to do it, he went for it and it worked. The situation for others who can do this most certainly does not present itself in every game, it still has to set up perfectly. But who is going to risk getting undercut by a shocked defender who sees nothing but your nuts coming at his face? It was more of a fluke than anything, and it worked for Carter. Good for him, it'll be one of the best highlights on his tape for the rest of his life. But still not his best dunk.
And I don't care if Nate Robinson's wasn't in a game. Just the fact that a dude an entire foot shorter than Carter jumped over a 7 footer (so he's 6'11 jpake, 7 foot in shoes ) and dunked is enough for me. You want to keep talking about how it happened in the game--and you're right it was a game, but it was against the French national team. LOL! You think Zo would EVER let someone jump over him like that?
Shaq?
KG?
Any big man in the NBA...
The answer is no. -
jpake1When are you going to get that book published? I didn't know it was possible to talk that much about a dunk, or whatever you talked about in that. Didn't bother to read it, but I'll buy a book to help a friend's wallet!

HeelzHaha take it easy your getting a little to worked up over this dunk, you can "play this game" all you want it's all about opinions, say whatever you want to downplay any dunk you want I don't really care...All I said was Nate used the hand on Howards shoulder to get an extra boost thats all.
