Cavs vs. Spurs 7:00 p.m.
-
fiverCavs enter this game at 49-15. Spurs come in at 36-24.
-
pkebkerAny word on whether LeBron is still scheduled to sit? I think the Spurs are not the right team to rest your star against. His ankle is probably worse than they let on...
-
fiverLeBron's status is still TBD according to nba.com
-
Drums of WarHeaded to the game tonight. I think they should give some sort of parting gift on nights LBJ does not play. I wonder if they have any snuggies left over?
-
Pick6Even if he doesnt play Parker is out for the Spurs. So that helps the Cavs.
-
krazie45Last I saw, LeBron was probable for this game

hangonsloopyI'm going too. I hope he plays.

SQ_CraziesIMO, this has something to do with the ankle--but not in the way most people are saying. I think he's fine to play, I believed Mike Brown when he said this was purely minutes. If LeBron sits these two games, he's got a week off--that's a nice luxury to have at this point in the season.
He may play tonight, Brown may not be able to keep him on the bench to play a quality team. But with a Laker loss, Brown may not let him go...we'll see. We can still beat the Spurs without him since Parker is out. -
devil1197I wonder if Gibson will be available to play.
He didn't travel with the team due to pregnancy difficulties. Should be able to go since the game is in Cleveland. -
FootwedgeWhat's wrong with Parker? And I don't think it helps our chances with Parker out...not when we are down so many players.

SQ_CraziesLOL, yeah Tony. Obviously it wouldn't help our cause if Anthony Parker was out.
-
wes_mantoothTonight is gonna be the Antawn Jamison show....
-
SQ_CraziesIt potentially could be if LeBron doesn't play. They don't have a real good match up for him.
-
THE4RINGZBig test for JJ Hickson tonight in the middle. But I have been impressed with him so far in this run without Shaq and Z.

Getting better and better. It's night and day from this year to last in terms of how comfortable he looks on the court.THE4RINGZ wrote: Big test for JJ Hickson tonight in the middle. But I have been impressed with him so far in this run without Shaq and Z. -
THE4RINGZI am just glad they didn't lose him in a deal right at the trading deadline.
-
devil1197LeBron is OUT
-
SQ_CraziesMe too. I didn't want to make a move that involved JJ. Thought we were good enough without making a move and I think JJ is a great player for the future core of this team. If they did it for Amare, I could have lived with it and I think it would have worked out but if they let him go for Jamison it would have been a bad long term choice.
-
THE4RINGZWhat pissed me off the most was the talk on ESPN Cleveland radio about JJ as the deadline approached. It seemed to them that he was expendable because he wasn't a big part of the offense at that time. He has proven why the Cav's decided to keep him around. The best part about him is his youth.
-
devil1197The reason why Cleveland kept JJ around is so that they don't have an overhaul of old bigs.
While JJ is good, he needs to improve his one on one game. Its been evident since Shaq and LeBron have been out that JJ's offensive potential has gone down. He still needs that jumper but it will come in time. Picking up Jamison still gives JJ some minutes but also time to develop before being trusted to score in the playoffs. -
