Al CaponePresser at 4:00. I'm sure espn will cover it.

FootwedgeBen meets with 20 year old groupie in his VIP room. They chat....and then Ben asks her to go back to the "real private room". She agrees. What did she think he wanted to do back there, listen to itunes?
Just like the Mike Tyson railroad job 15 years ago. Tyson tells the beauty queen contestants that if they want laid, come over to his house. A contestant calls Tyson at 3 in the morning and asks to come over to "visit" him.
She comes over, Tyson nails her...Tyson goes to jail, the beauty pageant contestant is set for life financially. -

september63Ben has hired not only a high priced lawyer. The guy is the same lawyer in ATL that got Ray Lewis out of murder charges!

You're about 24 hrs late on that news september. Sorry for your erection.september63 wrote: Ben has hired not only a high priced lawyer. The guy is the same lawyer in ATL that got Ray Lewis out of murder charges! -
Footwedge^^Smart move by Ben. All the money in the world won't do him much good if he's bunkin down with big Bubba for the next 10 years.
The dixie judges don't go all that lightly on Yankees. -

Ed Garland and IMO it's a smart move because he is from Atlanta. BTW, funny how no one mentions Garland's released statement just after the presser.........says there's NO evidence or facts to substantiate the claim and I would think that this guy has access to sources working the investigation.september63 wrote: Ben has hired not only a high priced lawyer. Haha, what do you expect BEN'S LAWYER to say.rock_knutne wrote:

"Well guys there is a ton of evidence against my client as he raped the hell out of the 20 year old girl."
Yeah, that would be a smart comment by the defense attroney.
Every defense attroney will say there is no evidence linking their client to the events that transpired. Even if there is evidence against Rothelisberger, Garland will deny any such claims as thats his job. -
ytownfootball^^^Right...because lawyers are all about releasing any significant information regarding on going investigations^^^
C'mon rock, that is just flat out silly -

Kinda like Johnny Cochran's statement whenever OJ's ass was hauled in.rock_knutne wrote:

rock_knutneAs for Garland's statement, yeah I know that's his job but there's been LITTLE to NO mention of this guys statement in the media, espn had a brief spot on it, reading the statement and that's it. Really, some of you are pathetic at trying to twist someone's post.

Well, according to some people he's a two-time rapist even though he's never been charged with that.ohiobucks1 wrote: most people must not be rational then... -
queencitybuckeyeInnocent until proven guilty is a concept that has legal status only in a courtroom. People are free to judge him with or without evidence as they please. That said, I'll wait until more facts are in before making my own judgment about any possible criminal activity. However, it's pretty easy to determine that he's making stupid decisions, showing a remarkable amount of immaturity.

Most likely. Although I would say it depends on what actually transpired, and maybe Rooney will never be satisfied he knows for certain. But if it were a case this girl had some crazy fantasy or was just trying to make a buck and Ben never touched her, well I don't know that it'd be fair to blame the guy for going out for some drinks. But obviously I think Ben took an "interest" shall we say and Rooney is probably pretty annoyed over the lack of judgement.vball10set wrote: ^^^some things never change...anyway,even if this is dismissed,Ben's toast in the court of public opinion, and IMO the Rooney's patience is running thin--very thin.
I don't know how I really feel or think at this point. McNulty is a pyscho that anyone could run into. And if he's wrongly accused here as well, you can find fault with his choices but at the same time you can't expect him not to have a life. I mean, because the guy is a target everywhere he goes and women throw themselves at him he's supposed to live like a hermit monk? Just saw the other day that Cromartie said "I got 7 kids in 5 states...I didn't make very smart choices my first few years in the league". -

When you have the money, you buy the best available. If you're a multi-millionaire who lives by himself, do you buy a mobile home since you're the only one who is going to be living there? Doubtful, you buy the mansion if you have that kind of dough.just_a_swimmer wrote: Ben hires a high profile lawyer. Why do you need a lawyer if you didn't do anything wrong? Who he hires doesn't prove anything about his guilt.
