Al CaponeLets not forget about Seattle when it comes to big spenders this free agency period. He can match litte Danny dollar for dollar any day.
-
77LegendAs a Steeler fan, I was not impressed with any of our DB's this season. Besides Troy, when he did play.
-
Al CaponeClark could be back if he doesnt like the offers that he gets.
-
NonThe Steelers never do much in free agency and just looking at the positions of need (RB, OL, LB and DB) there isn't much out there.
-
NonLadell Betts might not be too bad, as a backup running back to Mendenhall.
Chester Taylor's stock will be too high. -

Who I want Miami to get:
OL: Yanda, Brisiel
LB: Dansby, Crowell -
NonRandle El is available.
Last three years he caught 51-53-50 passes in a bad offense with a suspect QB.
Steelers could actually use another WR to go with Holmes, Ward and Wallace. -
NonBig surprise.
Redskins trying to make the big splash, closing in on Peppers. -

Crimson_StreakAs a brows fan I would love to have Adrain Wilson as our safret but he might be overpriced

osu45804Peppers to Chicago?
-
FabioAnd the Jet's secondary got a whole lot more scarier...

BR1986FBDetroit is being a player early. Signed Burleson, traded for Corey Williams & Vanden Bosch will likely sign there too.
Another Brandon Marshall rumor...this time to the Jets. -
jordo212000I like what the Jets are doing. Jets fans better hope that Rex Ryan can motivate him better than Norv Turner did. There are several different times where Cromartie was sandbagging and not trying.
-
Manhattan Buckeye
Scary in both directions, this could either be a homerun signing or a whiff the way Cromartie played last year. I still think it is a good gamble, the Jets will likely have a top 5 defense next year and if the offense is just adequate they'll go deep in the playoffs. I'm not happy Jones is gone because I'm not convinced Greene is a 25 carry/16 game runner that the Jets need in their offense, but I understand the $$$ issues.Fabio wrote: And the Jet's secondary got a whole lot more scarier...

BR1986FBBrowns have reached out to the agents of Houston WR-Kevin Walter and Steelers S-Ryan Clark. Also have a meeting scheduled with Ravens DT-Justin Bannan and are expected to pursue Thomas Jones.

NonI have a guy for the Steelers get.
Ma'ake Kemoeatu who was released by the Panthers.
6'5 and 345. Good run stuffing depth behind Hampton. Also would reunite with his brother, Chris.
Ma'ake missed all of 2009 after suffering a torn Achilles' tendon. I think they should look into this. -

Why they go waste alot of money on another 3-4 DT when you can only play one at a time?Non wrote: I have a guy for the Steelers get.

Because Hampton is a fat blob who typically shows up grossly out of shape for training camp.jordo212000 wrote:

Good to have guys to rotate especially at that position. Plus I think Kemoeatu may be younger than Hampton and I noticed that some centers (Alex Mack) weren't having trouble handling Hampton one-on-one at the end of last year.
A torn achilles is a dicey injury for a man of that size. I was surprised that the Browns' Robaire Smith came back from it and played at a high level last year. -

But you just gave starter's money to Hampton. The Steelers can't really afford to drop more starter's money on another DT, and especially on one who is just busted out his Achilles.BR1986FB wrote: Because Hampton is a fat blob who typically shows up grossly out of shape for training camp.

I figure if Pittsburgh really needs a back-up DT, I see them bringing in a more affordable backup -

Understood. You'd think they'd just draft one. Is that Ziggy Hood a NT or a DE?jordo212000 wrote:

those would all be good signings. cant say i know much about the DT justin bannan. i would really love to have peppers as a OLB but thats wishful thinking.
on the other hand with some of the moves the jets are making by trading for cromartie and then possibly getting brandon marshall, watch out AFC. i do like the moves they are making and wish the browns had a front office like the jets, hopefully with holmgren they will soon get there. i have 8 season tickets and i surely am tired of losing.
