Does the Tebow talk prove that the media is full of it?

  For years, we've heard the media telling anyone who will listen that physical tools don't matter when it comes to quarterbacking in the NFL; it all comes down to whether or not someone has some innate sense for "being a winner".
  
  But since last year, we've also heard a variety of criticisms of Tim Tebow over the fact that he's not a particularly accurate passer, he has a slow delivery, he can't make up for it with blinding speed, and he's not accustomed to being under center.
  
  Does this not prove once and for all that the idea of a winning attitude being more important than actual football ability (both physical and in preparation) is a complete load of crap? Does it not thoroughly debunk the idea that if someone can't hit the broadside of a barn with a pass, their team can win if the quarterback possesses enough magic dust in his veins?

  Tebow talk? I assume you mean the combine interview?

  Well, it's unfortunate that Suh and McCoy had to come out the same year as Tebow, otherwise we'd be able to actually hear about players that are actually going to make an impact in the NFL. Unfortunately, Tebow is all over the combine, most notably on Saturday.
  
  I'll give Tebow props in that he's working hard to become a real QB, but he should have waited until he got drafted by his team to re-work his mechanics because he's just going to have to switch it up again when he's in camp.

  His completion % and efficiency rating are as good as anyone's. He compared favorably to the other QB's in the combine in the drills. His NFL chance of success will depend on which team takes him. That is true of dozens of players every year. If he is a bust, the haters will rejoice. If he wins a Super Bowl someday as a starter, I will not be surprised.
  p.s. - the media is full of it no matter who they talk about.

  It's not hard to complete 67.8% of your passes when most of them are short passes that your fast/high powered offense can turn into. I bet if you were to look at Tebow's WR's and their YAC over the last few years, they would rank pretty highly, Percy Harvin, especially.
  
  Tebow is going to struggle at the next level. However, he has great work ethic and wants to succeed, and is very athletic, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him succeed. I just haven't seen somebody get hyped so much pre-draft, that was 2nd/3rd round talent.

  Im not saying hes the most accurate passer in the draft. I was just saying for someone to say he cant hit the broadside of a barn is pretty ridiculous.

  My response to NNN is that absolutely nothing is proven until Tebow actually plays in an NFL Game and gets under center. Let's at least give him a chance and see what happens. If I didn't know better, I would surmise that some of us are actually rooting for Tim to be a huge failure even before he starts. I have a feeling, and it's just a feeling backed up by nothing in particular, that those of you who think Tebow will fall on his face and disappear from Pro Football will be seriously disappointed. I may be dead wrong about this, but the guy wins.
