Canadian Ladies Party It Up

  • From the Hills
After the Canadian Ladies Hockey Team won the Gold some of the members decided to celebrate their victory on the ice, which raised the eyebrows of the IOC.

Maybe they should have kept it in the locker room, but what the hell, let them enjoy their moment.

Unless they were underage, which I highly doubt since the drinking age is 18 in Canada, I see nothing wrong with this. Champagne is broken out during the World Series all the time.

Article did mention one of the girls was 18 and the drinking age in BC is 19. Ut Oh, those crazy Canadians.

I said it during the in game thread last night that I wanted to party with those Canadian chicks. I guess I didn't realize it would involve beer and cigars. Now I am in for sure.

Ya dont traditionallly see the athletes bring it out onto the playing field/surface when they win it all.

Prolly should keep it in the lockerroom Def not a good image to portray to be honest.

It's actually 19 everywhere but Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta.

true but do they bring it out onto the field after the game? I think is prolly the issue from what I gather.

People just have way too much time on their hands.
They were on home ice, home crowd and everything. What's the big deal. If the games were in Russia then I wouldn't expect them to celebrate on the ice but they just won gold in their own country and we are talking hockey people not Curling. I mean if they want to be disgraced about something be disgraced about the behavior of the athletes in the athlete's village. Winter or summer it doesn't matter. They all party and everyone knows it.
