Who Remember's Jiri Welsch?
-
mucalum49Nobody? Just read this article and it was a blast from the past. I totally forgot about this abysmal trade, 2007 1st rounder for Jiri Welsch. Makes the Jamison trade look that much better.

SQ_CraziesYeah, I remember that trade...lol

trackandccrunnerI remember him haha.. I couldn't ever forget that first name. Man what a terrible trade that was for the cavs. And the article said it best no wonder why Lebron has never won a championship.

hoops23Who doesn't remember that tragedy? My goodness lol.
I hear he's playing overseas now though.. I didn't read the article you posted, so my apologies if it mentioned that. -
From the HillsTrades like this are why Jim Paxson is no longer a NBA GM.

NateJim Paxon : the definition of a jackass.

From the HillsYes it is a wonder he didn't pull a Stepien and screw up drafting Lebron.
-
pkebkerPaxton tried to make it seem like Jiri Welsh was actually a good three point shooter. It turns out he quite possibly was one of the worst players in the history of the NBA lol.

This trade is right up there with the Don Ford to Cavs for first round pick, (1982 James Worthy)pkebker wrote: Paxton tried to make it seem like Jiri Welsh was actually a good three point shooter. It turns out he quite possibly was one of the worst players in the history of the NBA lol. -
pkebkertrading first round picks is one of the most dangerous things a general manager can do. We've seen it repeatedly with the browns and the cavs what happens when gm's continue to trade draft picks.

wes_mantoothWelsch wasn't utilized correctly......He is my all time favorite Cav.
