I wonder if this new contract has any clause for him leaving to take a head coaching job. If he truly loves what he is doing then maybe he will stick with it. A lot less stressful than coaching that's for sure. -
Laley23Im glad as I love him in the booth. However, Im sad as now he wont be a candidate for my teams (ok, thats a lie, it wont stop people from going after him).
-
wghfanI really like listening to him. About time they got someone good in that spot
-
hoops23Sandusky born Jon Gruden.
That is all. -
tbellActually, I kind of miss him on the sidelines. I really think he is a good coach who needs to be leading a team again soon. Does his new contract allow him to leave if a new head coaching job is offered or does he have to stay to fullfill his contracted obligation.
-
SQ_CraziesI like him in the booth.
If he's going to coach again I think he should go to the college ranks. I think he'd be a better college coach. -
Tully BlanchardHe does a good job in the booth.
His name has been going around for a long time at Notre Dame if Charlie Weis gets the pink slip. -
osu99If he wants to coach and has a chance this contract might as well be used to wipe someone's ass because it's worthless.
-
thedynasty1998Maybe he's enjoying his time away from coaching and wants to enjoy it for another year. The guy is still pretty young, so why not take 3-4 years off before recommitting himself.
Although I do feel like the next coach at Notre Dame will be either Kelly or Gruden. -
Cleveland BuckThey way he was berating the Browns last night, I would love to have him as our coach.
