Pete Maravitch posted some of the best numbers of all time. How many Championships did he win?
  • Footwedge
Well...obviously, we don't match up with Denver and can't beat them .

Haha, it was a good shot. Good defense too, but obviously good offense beats good defense.

But you know what Kobe can do?

I think NCF went back to JJ's for awhile, until he realized (again) that that place blows more dick than he does.
  • royal_k
Yeah, he went back for a while.....swallowed some more. Now he's back here doin his thing.

Yeah you can only do so much without fouling.

I was kinda pleasantly surprised to see them guarding eachother and basically going back and forth for the last 4 minutes and OT. Usually they dont guard each other barely at all
  • krazie45
IMO this is a blessing in disguise for the Cavs....they were riding a 13 game win streak and began to read their own headlines a bit. Sometimes you need to taste your own blood to refocus.
  • SQ_Crazies
The Cavs do a lot of different things defensively down the stretch. You never know who LeBron will guard, a lot of times they'll put him out on the PG to disrupt things with his size. Sometimes he guards the best player, sometimes he guards the shittiest player and flies around the court because he's such a good help defender. I like it when he guards the best player though, he usually does a nice job to limit them--but great players are great players, and sometimes you're going to get beat like he did tonight against Melo.

Well, I'm not sure he really got beat, Melo just made a good shot. It's not like Melo could stop Bron either.
  • Hb31187
Lol Melo cant play D really at all
  • hoops23
Wake me when the playoffs start.
  • SQ_Crazies
    He can he's just lazy.

It's because he's got that "fuck it" in his system, if you know what I'm sayin'.
  • Hb31187
  • SQ_Crazies
    Damn.

That's a sweet picture. Doesn't get much better than that defensively, unless you block the shot. Hell of a shot by Melo.

    We miss 14 FT's instead of 17 and this doesn't matter...unfortunate.
  • hoops23
I called that shot to end the game. I just knew it wouldn't go to a second OT..

I also called a brick 3 point attempt by LeBron.
  • Hb31187
Yeah 17 missed fts by a NBA team shouldnt be acceptable
  • jpake1
Neither should giving up huge leads in the playoffs, but they surely found a way last year and found out it wasn't acceptable. I imagine they've learned their lesson. The lesson they learned tonight... make your FT's against a damn good team or else. It's a game like this that actually doens't mean much, but it'll sharpen their focus later in the year. This type of thing won't happen again with this good of a team.
  • SQ_Crazies
Good point. Sometimes you have to really suck at something to open your eyes and focus on it.
  • jpake1
Yep. They lost focus at the line altogether. For the remainder of the year, they'll probably zone in a bit more each time they go to the stripe.
  • Trueblue23
Better to happen now than in May/June
  • SQ_Crazies
Just an off game in a lot of ways, I wasn't surprised they dropped this one. I thought they might even before the break, and that was before they made the trade. Then they played without Z or Jamison, Mo just coming back...no biggie. On to the next one. Hopefully the loss gets their juices flowing again because the next 5 is a pretty tough stretch.

    @ Charlotte
    @ Orlando
    New Orleans
    @ Boston
    @ Toronto

Wow.. Charles Barkley just said Cleveland is clearly the best team in the East now.. I love Chuck, but this is shocking to me..

However, Kenny Smith still picks the Celtics to come out of the East.
  • Trueblue23
Of course McHale isn't going to say the Celtics don't have a chance to make it to the Finals.. smh

Yeah, thats why I don't like when guys like him are asked that question on TV. It's a pointless question to ask them, they're loyal. There are some players who can shut off the bias but others can't thats for sure.
