Who is now the favorite for the NBA championship

devil1197Powe is a better shooter because he isn't a jump shooter, just like JJ looks like a better shooter over Jamison. How hard is that to understand? Its not that hard to have a high FG % when their 5 foot or closer shots.
Meanwhile, Jamison is a stretch 4 hitting a good clip of 45% and 35% from 3 as a PF. -

Aren't you one of those around here that espouses free speech around here? Like I said, I hope Jamison stays off the floor in the playoffs.ytownfootball wrote: Right...because picking up a player, a recent all-star, for the #30 draft pick in the upcoming draft is much ado about nothing.
C'mon there footer, it don't get no better than that.
BTW....Amare is MUCH better than AJ in shooting the 12/15/18 foot jumpers as well.
Powe is a much better all around player and a proven winner. Rotating V, JJ and Powe will be tough enough. I'm not gonna like minutes taken away from these other guys. -

I love its when averaging 19-7, shooting 44% and 36% is a bad thing for a PF.Footwedge wrote: LTrain....Antawn Jamison for his playoff career has an overall shooting percentage of 443 and a behind the arc percentage of a below average 360.
Pretty poor if you ask me.

Also worth noting, the man had more turnovers than assists...but he's done that his entire career. -

LTrain...you've already admitted on here that you know nothing about sports odds. Trust me, the odds won't change in the Cavs favor after this trade.LTrain23 wrote:
lol, omg..Footwedge wrote: The odds are pretty much the same after this trade. Jamison will not see the floor much at all in the playoffs. Leon Powe>>>Jamison.
I remember the one year in the playoffs when we beat the Wizards, but Jamison averaged 32 ppg and 10 rpg in that series.. It was just a few years ago..
Jamison will see 30+ MPG in the playoffs. He's a beast. Seriously, stop..
I voted for the Cavs obviously, but if they both meet in the Finals, it'll be a hell of a series.. Seriously..
LA is the defending champs, and they should be recognized as such until dethroned. -

devil1197You should be calling Ferry with this immense knowledge of how Jamison should be benched.
-
devil1197He is the only guy in America I have heard that dislikes this trade.

Sure I espouse free speech, it's a fricken message board.Footwedge wrote:

But you seem to feel that my disagreeing with your disertation on things relating to this trade somehow infringes on that, when in fact it's just me free-speechin'-away that I think you're goofy for thinking the way you do. Get over yourself. -

I don't mind anybody that disgrees with me at all. None. Good Gawwwd yall. The only thing that is beyond annoying to me are those that constantly complain about the Cavaliers and their coach. That's it.ytownfootball wrote:

I don't come here to win a popularity contest. I post my opinion, back it up with facts, and then I move along.
I understand quite well that most people disagree with me regarding Jamison. So what?
My son disagrees, my brother disagrees, and even my dog disagrees with me. At least they don't bitch and moan daily because the Cavs don't win every game by 25 points....like some assholes do.
Good day, sir. -
FootwedgePretty much everyone is in agreement that Mo did not shoot the ball well last year in the playoffs. Hopefully Mo will learn from that ecperience and shoot the ball a lot better.
The fact is...Mo's fg percentage last year (playoffs) was better than the great Jamison's fg% for his entire playoff career. -

You wanna take a guess at who's career playoff numbers these are? 44% FG and 33% from behind the arc.Footwedge wrote: LTrain....Antawn Jamison for his playoff career has an overall shooting percentage of 443 and a behind the arc percentage of a below average 360.

Lovejoy1984Bean or Bron?
-
se-alumThey're are Kobe's numbers. I'm thinking the Lakers would be stupid to have Kobe on the floor during the playoffs with those numbers. Shannon Brown should be able to lead them to the title though.
-
devil1197So now were comparing a Scoring PG to a PF?
Wonder who is going to shoot better? Jesus.
That is like saying Powe/JJ having better FG % because they get layups and dunks over a guy who shoots 3's and jumpers. -
SQ_CraziesJamison, against the Cavs, since LeBron came into the league:
Regular season:
19.6 PPG, 7 RPG, 1.5 APG, 46% FG
8 double-doubles in 24 games.
Playoffs:
21.5 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 1.8 APG, 42% FG
8 double-doubles in 16 games.
That's just against the Cavs. I'll just say I'm happy to have him on our side. -
SQ_CraziesEspecially because we gave up literally nothing for him, assuming we get Z back.
-
devil1197I am shocked that I have only heard on person since yesterday not like this trade.
Well not really shocked anymore because that person also said Powe >>>>>Jamison. -
ytownfootball
Well, yeah, it has win all over the damn deal. I just don't get not liking this when we gave up zip.SQ_Crazies wrote: Especially because we gave up literally nothing for him, assuming we get Z back. -

I said fg percentage...nothing about behind the arc. And I wouldn't be bragging about Jamison from behind the arc. His career numbers stink, just sayin.se-alum wrote:

BTW, a lot of Washington fans are happy to see Mr. selfish leave. Apparently Jamison had one of the worst assist to minutes played ratio that ever played the game.
Like I said above...since Ferry kept JJ...the trade wasn't a bad one at all. -
wes_mantooth
I was ok with everything except this. Jamison is well known for being a great teammate and generally well liked by the fans.Footwedge wrote:se-alum wrote:

devil1197Career 3 Point % for a PF is 35%.
Yeah thats terrible.
Jamison is shooting 48% from inside the 3 point line this year. He'll get the majority of his looks inside the 3 point line. Look for that % to increase over time.
