Jamison to Cavaliers

SQ_CraziesZ isn't his old self, but he's still productive and has proved to be an important part of our team this year.
Not to mention, clearly they have business to take care of first (as do the Lakers) but if you're going to match up with the Lakers in the Finals, you can't have too many big men. If you lose the battle in the paint against Gasol and Bynum the Lakers beat you, period. If and likely when Z comes back, we're ridiculously deep in the paint. The more guys you can throw at Gasol and Bynum the better--make that team JUST Kobe and we win because LeBron can at least equal whatever Kobe does. -
jordo212000I'm just saying, see what happens over these 30 days. See if you really need him. If they do, bring him back. I just hate to see the guy they desperately wanted to keep (Hickson) get his minutes taken away by a guy averaging 7.5 ppg and can't play defense. With the only reason he is returning is that there are some nice memories of him

NateIt would be heartbreaking not to see Z come back. Z has been a great team player.
-
FootwedgeMavs might outbid Cavs for Z. Cuban has publicly stated that his team stinks. He wants Z for reasons over and above sentimental ones.
With that said, Z may still want to stay in Cleveland and win a ring...over stacking another million or so on top of his money pile. -
devil1197Mavs wil outbid Cleveland, but it won't matter.
-
Cleveland BuckJJ can't guard centers and Anderson picks up too many fouls guarding centers exclusively. Jamison can't come close to guarding a center. That is why they need Z.

sportchamppsI love JJ Hickson as much as anyone and was one of the few who even said he was the right pick when we took him but, I am not sure how much more potential to grow he has. He is someone who doesn't have the huge upside even though he has only been in the league 2 years becuase he did stay in school for so long. He has had a great chance to showcase his skills and improve with Lebron and Co. that said I would rather have Jamison and even Z taking away a few minutes from him in the playoffs for this season. Hickson will only realistically be losing minutes to Z for the last month of the season and playoffs after that Z is going to be gone. How anyone wouldn't want Z to provide depth is beyond me.

Cleveland BuckJJ played 1 year of college basketball.

He is 21 and only played one year in college. He didn't he play a full season last year nor did he play at all this summer.sportchampps wrote: I love JJ Hickson as much as anyone and was one of the few who even said he was the right pick when we took him but, I am not sure how much more potential to grow he has. He has great potential growth for the amount of PT he has received. -

Absolutely great potential. He's been improving all year, you can see it on the court and just in his general attitude. He's getting to play with A LOT of players who will make him better (Z, Shaq, LeBron, now Jamison and even Varejao) and he's VERY young. I don't think a lot of people realize how young he is, but they drafted this kid because they thought he had serious potential--not because he was just the best player available. I'm glad that through all of this trade BS we were able to keep him. I wasn't a big fan of any moves that broke up what we have going, and especially not giving up Hickson just to sell out for a title. So I'm obviously thrilled with the move we were able to make. Even if we can't bring Z back, it was a GREAT move. That being said, I say there is about a 200% chance that Z comes back.devil1197 wrote:

Make that 900% or whatever drives the point home the most lol. -

I think Z will come back....and I agree...the Cavs coukld use him. But I think JJ Hickson could be really, really good in this league.sportchampps wrote: I love JJ Hickson as much as anyone and was one of the few who even said he was the right pick when we took him but, I am not sure how much more potential to grow he has. Many NBA players have worked on their jump shot and greatly improved. As ugly as Anderson V's jumper is (actually a set shot) he makes a bunch of them now.
Hickson has grown on me...and now I love watching him play. People say that all he can do is dunk. Well, if it were that easy, why doesn't Shaq , Z, Moon or anyone else not dunk 5 times per game?
He's got a lot of natural gifts. Thank God Ferry did not trade him.
