Beanie Wells

  • ironman02
Beanie had a big game today for the Cardinals.

    16 carries - 85 yards - 2 TDs
    2 catches - 32 yards

After a slow start, Wells seems to be improving quickly. He has 395 yards rushing, but 271 of those have come in his last four games. It seems as though Whisenhunt is beginning to put more trust in him, which should lead to even more carries in the coming weeks.

I really loved watching Beanie play at OSU, especially when he was sticking it to Michigan. Hope that he continues to get better, stays healthy, and has a great career in the NFL. At the moment, things are beginning to look somewhat promising for him in Arizona.

He's going to be a beast.

I expect him to have 1,400+ yards next season with 12+ td's.

he has a great chance to a top ball player
Juat hope he can stay health

hope he does well, he is the punishing runner that arizona lacked last year. if they make it back to the Super Bowl he may well be the difference maker and get them over the top. I love his style.

He even caught some balls which was a big knock on him but if you are going to play in Ariz you have to be able to catch. If he can hold onto the ball and stay healthy he could up being key for the Cards this year and many years to come.

Starting to shut up all the bashers that said he wouldn't stay on the field. He has a world of talent and it's starting to show. Just a matter of time untill he is the featured back.

    Chris?

As long as he can stay healthy and not fumble the ball he'll continue to get better and he'll be one of the better backs in the league. I don't think anyone expected him to come in and be dominant right away--but I think he'll be a damn good one down the road.

Wisenhunt going for it on 4th and goal at the one early in the game with Hightower was a big mistake. Beanie may not be completely ready to be a starter in the NFL (because of blitz pickups, and being a receiving back), but you have to wonder why he isn't always the short yardage back. He had a great game and is averaging over 5 yds/carry this season. Beanie = Beast

i never understood the fascination with Hightower last year. when you run the ball 10 times a game, it goes without saying that you'll have an inflated average because teams aren't expecting it. beanie's the real deal and will hopefully give this team some balance going forward.

You do realize that Hightower is the goal line back. Last year, and this year. Pretty much every single time he has gotten the job done. I think all his TDs over the last 2 years have been from the goal line.

I agree, Beanie CAN be a GL back as well. But how can it be the wrong choice at this point?

Yes, Hightower is the goal line back, because he's always been the goal line back. That doesn't mean to say he is the best for that option. On a straight up running play, 4th and goal from the 1, who would you rather have trying to get that yard? Beanie or THT? I do agree with the splitting of carries and time and all that, because they both need to be able to stay healthy for a long NFL season, by my two cents say put Beanie in during that situation.

Chris is what I thought his name was

Did he legally change it to "Beanie" like the Ultimate Warrior changed his legal name to Warrior?

I had a conversation with a guy last night who in the same sentence said that beanie will not be any good in the pros because he is injury prone and he shoulda played one more year for osu. That makes no sense to me. Beanie is a stud and barring injury will be a top 5 back in the league in the next year or two.

He's a beast. The Cardinals have to be excited to get a guy so late in the 1st round that is turning out to be a great offensive weapon.

My fantasy team is very happy.

His name is still Chris as far as I know. Beanie is a nickname that was given to him by his family.
