A friend of mine, who is a Bengals fan, says Cinci should target Stallworth and not TO. Seems like he would be a good fit in that lockerroom and could serve as a mentor to Maualuga -

As a Bengal fan this was the first thing I've thought of. I sure hope not.karen lotz wrote: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4898382

Al CaponeBengals will sign Stallworth this year and Plaxico next year. And when Palmer wants them both to go long he just hollers jailbreak.

thedynasty1998I understand that Stallworth screwed up, but why is he now considered troubled? He served his punishment and is now reinstated. I don't think he ever ran into off the field issues prior to.
Personally, I wish the Browns would have kept him around for his on the field potential, but I'm not sure if it was more for financial reasons or not? -
HitsRusHe was due a $1 million if he was on the roster March 20.....money better spent elsewhere if you're the Broiwns.

Why? His "potential" cost the Browns millions of dollars for a few games of play and zero production. The guy is a stiff on the field and a felon off it.thedynasty1998 wrote: I understand that Stallworth screwed up, but why is he now considered troubled? Good riddance. I hope the Bungals sign him. -

Why is this the attitude with Stallworth (who killed someone) and yet Vick is an abomination to everything when he killed some dogs?thedynasty1998 wrote: I understand that Stallworth screwed up, but why is he now considered troubled? Maybe because Stallworth's accident was indeed an accident. Vick knew that the hell he was doing.I Wear Pants wrote:

He was drunk and speeding. He knew what the hell he was doing when he got behind the wheel after drinking.wildcats20 wrote:

Weird how DUI Manslaughter gets you 24 days in jail and killing some dogs gets 23 months in federal prison. -
thedynasty1998I don't think he was ever found to be speeding. He was drinking yes, but a guy ran right in front of his car. He didn't hit the guy because he had been drinking, he hit the guy because the man ran in front of his car.
Immediately following, no one thought he had been drinking because he was so coherent.
As for the financial reasons to cut him, I understand that. -

Even weirder how some people still haven't figured out that Vick got 23 months not for "killing some dogs", but for being fingered as the ringleader of a crime ring which took place in multiple states, therefore making it federal racketeering.I Wear Pants wrote:Weird how DUI Manslaughter gets you 24 days in jail and killing some dogs gets 23 months in federal prison. -
thavoiceHow many teams has Stallworth been with?
He isnt that good people. Maybe if ya get him for near the min for his years of service it would be a good get...but ya dont spend much. -

thavoiceAlso dont forget....the guy who was killed also was at fault. He reportedly crossed some place he didnt and in traffic that can be harder for the driver to see....by accepting what they did for jail time tells me that even if he was completely sober he may or may not have seen teh guy and still hit and kiled him. He coulda been looking the other way...lookin at the radio for a split second..looking in his rear view mirror for a brief moment and hit the guy stone cold sober.....
but since he had enough BAC he was busted.
Few weeks ago I about hit someone who crossed between cars in the middle of the street. I was looking forward to the left to see if a car was going to pull out in front of me and sudddently saw the guy crossing. Anything can happen and who knows.......his so called slow reaction time coulda been any number of things... -

So you think that federal racketeering is worse than killing a man?just_a_swimmer wrote:

And yes, he was found to be going 10 over the speed limit, not speeding a ton but still speeding. He was also drunk. He. Was. Drunk. And. Killed. Someone. With. His. Car. -
thavoiceId hardly call .12 BAC as drunk...especially for someone i imagine drinks a fair amount.

I can't believe how much you people (yes, you people) are defending this man. "The guy would have died anyway" "It's not like he was hammered"thavoice wrote: Id hardly call .12 BAC as drunk...especially for someone i imagine drinks a fair amount.
You realize if this happens to anyone of us we get lambasted by the local media (national media don't give two shits about us) as a horrible turd of a person and probably spend a decade in prison. When we get out of prison our reputation follows us everywhere and we are unable to get a job. We then die cold and homeless in the February 6, 2020 blizzard.
He was at 150% of the legal limit. He was legally drunk. I don't care if he drinks a fair amount or not, his alcoholic ass can call a cab, not like he couldn't afford it. -
thavoiceNo.
Im not defending him.
Just sayin........for many, many people .12 isnt drunk.
Legally drunk and actually drunk CAN be two different things.
Very good chance he still hits the guy even if he was dead sober because of the guy darting out in traffic. -

Then maybe he should be driving dead sober so we don't have to worry about it huh?thavoice wrote: No.

Hb31187Lol gambling on dog fights<human death
But what i think doesnt matter bc its not the law, /shrug -
Hb31187Still its funny to see people say Stallworth isnt a bad guy and he should get a 2nd chance....But Mike Vick is a piece of shit and should still be rotting in a jail cell
-
Lovejoy1984^^^
Now that I agree with.
I was one of the people who was saying Vick deserves his second chance. The whole hypocrisy of the situation is what I find funny.
