Weekend boxing 2/5
-
Hulk SmashNetworks have crammed in a bunch of shows again this weekend.
FNF has a darn good show.
Light heavyweights in the headliner.
Yusaf Mack(28-2-2) vs Glen Johnson(49-13-2)
Almost certain to be full of action. Johnson is 41, not sure if he can still handle a solid light heavyweight in his prime but we'll see tonight.
After fighting to a draw last summer Ed Paredes(23-3-1) and Joey Hernandez(15-0-1) will go at it again on the undercard.
Rest of the show: http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=590471
Shobox is on tonight also.
Freddy Hernandez(27-1) vs DeMarcus Corley(36-12-1)
Francisco Contreras(12-0) vs Juan Castaneda jr(16-2-1)
Another Gary Shaw Productions event...
Showtime should change the name of this series to Shitbox
Shaw is giving Showtime fireworks on Saturday though.
Edwin Valero(26-0, 26ko's) vs Antonio DeMarco(23-1-1, 17ko's)
I'm thinking somebody might get KO'd in main event
Rest of the line up: http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=592905
Top Rank Live is back on Saturday at 10pm on FSN.
Headlined by Brandon Rios(23-0-1) vs Jorger Luis Teron(23-1-1) in what look likes a good line up for FSN.

HereticWhat time does FNF start this week? I have to cover a high school game, but want to see the Mack-Johnson fight, so I need to know if I'll be home in time for it, or if I need to set the VCR.

Hulk SmashStarts at 10:30 Heretic.
-
HereticThat's sweet! I'll be home long before it starts.
-
grass_lickerill be watching fnf and the best of pride on spike lol
-
HereticStarted at 10 p.m., although I'd read in more places than here it was 10:30. First match was some 4-0 Olympian apparently rupturing every internal organ of his opponent with one punch. It was sweet!

Hulk SmashParedes KO of Hernandez was wicked!
One punch wipe outs are always great.
Impressed with Johnson last night, he handled Mack rarely easily imo.
I was suprised to see FNF spending so much time time covering the Adamek/Estrada fight.
They tend to talk about HBO and Showtime events all the time, first time I've seen them discussing a gofightlive.tv ppv broadcast. FNF giving it some coverage will probably boost its ppv buys a little. -
HereticYeah, for 41 years old, Johnson looked great. Looked like he was just cruising until he knew what Mack had...and when he figured it out, just dismantled him. And that Paredes KO was sweet...especially considering what happened in their first fight with Hernandez slamming him. A decisive, no-doubt-about-it win for him was nice to see.
