thedynasty1998A buddy forwarded me this link with some pictures of Brett Favre day after the loss to the Saints.
A couple pretty good bruises if it is indeed Favre:

MANAZEno matter if it is or isn't Favre is one tough sob most QBs would have stayed down with the hits he took.

NNNPretty much every player who finishes an NFL season has injuries that look like this. The difference is, most of them get it cleaned up, rehab, and are on the way. Only a total whore for attention would actually allow pics to be taken and posted online by his agent.
We get it Brett. You can't resist the urge to show everyone exactly how tough you are and what you play through, even though every single other guy out there does the same thing. Try shaking hands with your linemen sometime...just wait until late March when the swelling of their hands has gone down enough to enable that to take place. -

I agree completely. Tough guys don't need affirmation from others on how tough they are.NNN wrote: Pretty much every player who finishes an NFL season has injuries that look like this. thavoiceAnyone remember a segment on ESPN a few years ago when they followed Jerome Bettis around the day after a game? Dont think they showed stuff like the Favrs pics but they showed how he could barely move and get up/down stairs at his place a day after a game.
They def take a beating. I bet many a player thinks about retiring on a mon/tues........
Now we know why RB's dont make it often to their 30th BD if they get alot of carries. -

How do you know that his agent wasn't like "Hey Brett, send us some pics of how you are healing" Then he sends them and the agent is like "hey reporter, look at Favre's injuries!"??NNN wrote: Pretty much every player who finishes an NFL season has injuries that look like this. Didn't he send the pics to his agent or whatever, then his agent released them???? At least he didn't need the same type of affirmation Greg Oden did.RiverRat13 wrote:

I can't say with 100% certainty that this isn't what happened, but it doesn't mesh with Favre's spotlight-hogging personality.LJ wrote: How do you know that his agent wasn't like "Hey Brett, send us some pics of how you are healing" Then he sends them and the agent is like "hey reporter, look at Favre's injuries!"??
Remember during one of the five years of "Oh, I might retire" when he called a press conference at a charity golf tournament in Mississippi, then all he did was stand up there and say, "I'm not saying anything, so I don't know why you're all here"? -

Knowing an agent who represents football players, it is more than likely he asked for pictures of the injury.NNN wrote:

Just so people don't go "you don't know anyone" here is the article on the agency.
