Despite being a lifelong Cavs fan, I never got to see a game in the old Prairie Palace. My first Cavs game was during the inaugural year at the then Gund. I've always been fascinated by the Coliseum though and I just wondered what fellow free huddlers thought about the place. Any great memories from Cavs games? Concerts? Other events? Or was it just a pain in the ass to get to with terrible loge seating? What are some memories for those old enough about this giant that stood for only 20 years.
I have some great memories of seeing the Cavs teams of the late 80's and early 90's. It was nice to be able to go to a game for a reasonable price. I saw one of best teams of all time (86 Celtics) and who I believe is the best player of all time (Jordan). As far as getting to it, I suppose it depends where you are coming from. Coming from Trumbull County, I would much rather drive to Richfield than Cleveland to see a game. I could be there in 45, and I didn't have to deal with the traffic that you can get in Cleveland.
