NFL defensive pass interference rule......

  Do you think it should be a spot foul, or just 15 yards regardless? I think it is bias as opposed to offensive pass interference. If you get called for def pass interference 40 yards down the field, it's a 40 yard penalty, but if it's pass interference on the WR 40 yards down the field you only back up 15 yards. I think it should be 15 yards regardless or half the distance if within the 20 yard line, unless they are in the end zone then it should be placed on the goal line. What are your thoughts?

  Nope it should be a spot foul. That's the one thing I'd like to see the NCAA change to be closer to the NFL.
  
  How many times have you seen a WR blow by a DB and just basically get tackled because they know it's better to sacrifice the 15 yards, rather than give up a long catch or a TD.

  I hate the rule, but it is the correct one.
  
  Guys would just grab and pull every time they get beat down field. That would make for a shitty game if it kept happening because it would sure be better than the alternative.

  I see your point with that. But look how Larry Fitzgerald ran through Charles Woodson twice in the Wild Card game, that was NOT called. I hate how the offense gets the favoritism.

  This I can agree with. You hardly see it called on the offense.

  I don't think you should have to look back.
  
  Like say a centerfielder jumps up with his back to home plate and robs a home run, it's just athletic ability.
  
  If you're covering the deep pass and jump up with your back to the QB and knock it away without contact that should be ok.
  
  A universal rule has developed for officials to make the call if the defensive back does not look back for the ball just to make it easier for the ref to call but it doesn't have to be that way.

  I hate the face guarding rule. Why is is a penalty if you dont touch the guy and knock the ball away. It should be rewarded as good defense (much like the force out rule FINALLY is rewarded).
  
  The PI should be spot. As others have said, with how good the NFL offenses are it would be DBs just tackling the WRs when they get burned.
