If the Browns ever got in the Super Bowl..

  • iclfan2
Would you rather be at the game, be with your family, or be in Cleveland?

Personally, I would like to be in Cleveland. Because win or lose it would be a hell of a night. This question popped up because me and my bro talk about it, as well as a thread on the OBR. Just wondered what other Browns fans thought.

    at the game.

Although, it would be like Mardi Gras in Cleveland.

In Cleveland. If the Browns won the game I would want to join in the looting and rioting. Of course, I will probably be a crippled old man by then, so I wouldn't be able to participate.

I was in Cleveland when the Tribe clinched a WS spot and it was crazy, I cant imagine what it would be like if the Browns made the SB.

Tough choice. But at the game would be a lifetime experience and memory. Cleveland would be the mother of all parties. And my family and friends would be awesome as well.

But I pick being at the game.

Ha I'm inclined to think that things will burn, win/lose. Which is why I would want to be there. Plus, what would beat watching the game with thousands of fellow fans? Hopefully one day we will find out.

if Cleveland made the Super Bowl, I think the city of Cleveland would burn down. But it won't happen, so we are good.
  • Cleveland Buck
The city wouldn't burn down unless we won the Super Bowl, or we lost it on a bad call. Actually, if we lost it on a bad call, Cleveland would burn down, and so would the city who won it.

Why do people loot and riot after their teams win the Superbowl? That is so stupid, what a good way to reward your team for winning, let's trash the city.

I would say it would be equally satisfying being at the Super Bowl with at least one other friend, family member or diehard fan like you as it would be watching the game with several of those same kinds of people at a big party.

I don't think you could go wrong either of those two ways. As a Steelers fan I've done both and they were both awesome. Even if you go to the game you can still talk on the phone to people back home and get the general feel and go to the city parade later. But if you don't want to fork over $1,000 and just want to watch with a big party and they win you won't feel any less great.

I would say to go to the AFC Championship if it's at Cleveland again. If you think about how many years you've spent being a fan, 365 days a year, is it really that much money being there in the city watching your favorite team with a chance to go to the Super Bowl? For even $150-200. Think of how many things you waste money on.

I was in Cleveland when the Cavs clinched the ECF in Game 6 against the Pistons. It was AWESOME. Seriously.

The best place to be at is IN the city if you can't make the game...

I was there as well. My kid made the plain dealer and the town was an awesome sight.

    Sweet videos...

But that is mild compared to what will happen when the Browns win the Super Bowl.

I have already promised a buddy of mine that we are going to the Super Bowl when the Browns make it, even though being in Cleveland would be a close second.

I already told my wife that if the Browns make the Super Bowl, I will do everything in my power to go to the game and if that can't be done, I will be in Cleveland for the game. There is no discussion on the matter.

I would love to be at the game, but I highly doubt I could afford it. So I would choose being at home with my family.

In Cleveland. Ive been to a Super Bowl already.

I would pony up the dough to go to the Super Bowl. Once in a lifetime opportunity for a Browns fan. Not like the Colts or Patriots they go every other year.
  • Trueblue23
If I were a Brown's fan I would kill to be at that game.

Especially with the Super Bowl, I'd rather be in the city instead of the game.

The Super Bowl has most of their tickets go to rich bastards who don't even really care about the game, so the atmosphere is a little more sterile. All other sports give their actual fans more of a shot at the tickets since those Championship games/series take place in the cities and not at a neutral venue.

    Talk about hypothetical situations :D

I went to Super Bowl 35 in Tampa. The game was a 3 and a half hour interruption of a week long party. It was very anticlimactic. Because of that, Id' be in Cleveland with friends and family. No question about it.
  • cat_lover
    At the game.
  • Fab4Runner
Either at the game or in Cleveland with family and friends. I know they would all want to be in the city as well so there would be no decision to make as far as staying home with them. The same can be said for the Cavs and Indians.

This is like asking what would you do with the money if you won the Lottery. However the odds are better at winning the Lottery.

My Family has known since I was age 6 how much i love the Browns . I have traveled up to Cleveland many times with my High school buddy on Sundays to watch the Browns blowing off many family gatherings. My Dad took me to my first game on a bus from C-bus in 1964 . My buddy whose family originates from Painesville and i Bought our first season tickets in the pound in 1978 2 years out of high school . We saved our money all year to pay for them. Working parttime for $3.55 an hour it took a while.
When we were much younger i wouldn't hesitate to say I'd go to the Super Bowl no matter what. My choices would be in order:
    1) Be in attendance at the game
    2) Be in the host city of the Super Bowl partying with all the other crazed Browns fans who made there way their just because they had to go.
    3) Being in Cleveland
    4) With Family
But, actually i would take anyone of the 4 .
