No Mo?
-
chs_redskinsESPN reported that mo will iams will not play against LA tonight because of a shoulder injury. What will the starting line up be?
PGaniel Gibson
SG:Anthony Parker
SF:LeBron James
PF:JJ Hickson
C:Shaquille O'Neal -
Lovejoy1984West will replace Mo.
However Lebron will be the one handling the ball the most. -
september63I wouldnt mind starting LBJ in the backcourt with DeLonte West. Bring in JaWad Williams and JJ Hickson at forward. Shaq in the middle.
-
miller45452003It's gonna be a tough game w/o Mo. Either Delonte and Boobie need to step up or Lebron needs to go for 50+.

It doesn't matter who starts so saying JJ means absolutely nothing when he only plays an average of 15-17 minutes per game now.september63 wrote: I wouldnt mind starting LBJ in the backcourt with DeLonte West. Bring in JaWad Williams and JJ Hickson at forward. Shaq in the middle.
Expect Cleveland to continue their big lineup against the Lakers who West/Parker/LeBron/Z/Shaq. The twin towers worked very well agains the Lakers on Christmas so I expect the Lakers to use less of Gasol/Bynum together on the court. -
SQ_CraziesThis definitely hurts, but it gives someone an opportunity. Hopefully they take advantage. Our bench is capable of stepping their game up, so is pretty much everyone on the team. They have to play good defense tonight so they don't have to rely on someone to pick up the slack with the scoring. Mo being out shouldn't hurt us on the defensive end much.

jpake1For me, this game will say a lot about both teams and their fates this year. I know others don't believe much in the power of one regular season game. This is a big statement game for both teams after everything happened last season. If the Cavs get them again, my belief in the team will steadily rise.. high enough that if they should meet in the finals I'd have to have serious thoughts.

If LBJ has to go for 50 then we lose. Not good when he scores that much. It means no one else is holding up their end.miller45452003 wrote: It's gonna be a tough game w/o Mo. Either Delonte and Boobie need to step up or Lebron needs to go for 50+.
sorry thought I read AND has to go for 50. So yea I agree that boobie and delonte need to score. -
ytownfootballIf Delonte drives/dishes as he is capable then we should be OK. Mo's 3 ball threat will be missed, Boobie could fill that void.

The Lakers were 0-2 against Orlando last year in the regular season. This game will have no bearing whatsoever on what happens in June if they would happen to meet in the Finals.jpake1 wrote: For me, this game will say a lot about both teams and their fates this year. jpake1How'd I know that would be the first response? It's just my own personal belief that statement games say a lot about a team and where they're at mentally. Things can always change down the road. It just helps me analyze games better. If a team gets smacked around and the whole country sees it, and they come out the next time they meet that team and get smacked around again-- I definitely take that into consideration for the future. This game can have no bearing if they should meet again, but it'll weigh more in my mind when picking a winner between the two.

I agree. It was important for the Cavs to smoke LA's ass at least once this year for their confidence. They've already done that. As a result, this game doesn't really mean that much.Skyhook79 wrote:

Cleveland BuckThe Cavs are going to struggle without Mo. When Delonte is playing the point, he never looks for his own shot, and as a result, the drive and kick game is gone.

hoops23Delonte West hurt his finger late in the 4th chasing a loose ball..
No word on how serious it is yet. Hope it's not!
