It's funny how we can have an argument on this site with Laker fans and then as soon as our side gets backed up, nothing really matters. LOL, dumbest fan base ever maybe. The fucking state of California even voted 56% for LeBron and only 36% for Kobe. Kobe isn't even the MVP of his own team, Gasol is.
  • Sage
    lol GASOL isnt really

ODOM is THE GUY who can take our team to the NEXT LEVEL

kobe is still sensei of the dojo until he is beat in battle OVER A 7 GAME SERIES BY LEBRON JAMES

TO BE THE MAN U GOTTA BEAT THE MAN HOME SLICE

    lebron is darth vader

    but kobe is yoda

and yoda aint going to roll out unless the dude gots to.

    AND JANUARY AINT THAT TIME

What is your opinion of having Odom in there with the starters and having Artest coming off the bench. Artest just doesn't impress me this year.
  • bigdaddy2003
I wouldn't pick Kobe or LeBron for MVP. I think it will be Melo.

artest has not been the same since he took that xmas night spill.

they tried they Odom/Pau/Bynum front line when he was out and it was pretty clumsy at times and started really slow.

And thats what really is important to Cavs fans, that Lebron wins the MVP.
The Cavs would still make the Playoffs in the East without Lebron. The Lakers would not make the Playoffs in the West without Kobe.

Shaq, who some people say is the most dominate center ever, has how many MVP's? Thats what the award means, nothing when you come down to it.
Kobe is still the best player in the World when you factor everything in.

and btw- sighting an espn poll to make your case?? In the words of Mike Ditka "C'mon Man"!!!!
  • SQ_Crazies
And how the MVP means nothing all of a sudden....oh this just keeps getting better!

was the mvp important in 2007-2008? but really i could care less if fuckin vujacic won the mvp...it's all about the ring for me

LeBron is the best player in the NBA, that has been proven. The championship is a TEAM award. Now, do the Cavs have a good enough TEAM to win the championship? I think they do, but time will tell if everyone else steps up in May/June

the cavs really didnt play well last night they were sloppy and turned the ball over way too many times . anjd they were minus mo williams and jamario moon. but even with all of that the lakers had nothin for them. the cavs just out muscled the lakers soft front line. it seems physical play doesnt bode well for the lakers. point blank the cavs are the better team right now

LOL at this. Cavs beat a team that was 41 and 9...and the defending champs. And people still find soething to bitch about.

dave wrote: Mike Brown didn't do anything to help win this game. He didn't get the guards involved without Mo, and he allowed another lead to collapse at the end, giving up 7 straight points while the team stood and watched bron shoot jumpers.

It was nice to see JJ return to early season form
lol. Typical. Mike Brown gets no credit for his team hanging with and beating the Lakers minus our second best player... But the Cavs give up a late 7 point lead (but win again) and it's Mike Browns fault..

not bitching just stating the facts. if the cavs would have played well they would have ran the lakers out of the arena , like they did on christmas day.

Cavs are expected to sign CSU's and and Erie Bayhawk's guard Cedric Jackson to a 10 day contract.

He averaged 14.7 ppg and 7.6 apg.
  • SQ_Crazies
I have to agree with KnightRyder, I thought the Cavs played awful for most of the game last night. Not bitching, just observing. With that being said the result was a great thing to see.
  • hoops23
I'm guessing "awful" had nothing to do with missing their second best player for the first game of the season and on top that, having it happen against the world champs?

Either way, I loved seeing the offense work through Shaq. It became efficient and effective.
  • SQ_Crazies
Awful had everything to do with turning the ball over, stupid shots, inconsistent offense, missed defensive rotations all over the place and overall I don't think they played well. But they played well enough, that's all that matters. I'm just saying I'm glad to see them be able to beat the Lakers without Mo and without playing their A game.

The game as a whole was pretty sloppy.

The Lakers looked good for 2 1/2 quarters, then it looked like we had never played basketball before. Much credit to Cleveland for getting in our faces and playing their style of basketball.
