mgl1984Not having Tim Tebow in the top 25 makes this list shit

If this a mock draft then I could very well see Clausen picked there, but if this is a big board Clausen has no business being close to that spot.
My mock draft will be posted most likely after the Senior Bowl. I'm trying to figure out if I want to just start out with 2 rounds or 3. -
DaBrowns41Why does having Tebow outside the Top 25 make it shit? Explain to me how he's a first round QB, and better than any of the guys in terms of Pro potential that are in front of him.
-
j_crazyI disagree with so many things on this list. But appreciate the work put into it.

lhslep134Tha dynasty. After carefully reading that thread, and re-reading some of the things you've posted in regards to the couple dumb ass things I've written, I've gained respect for you. You called out someone for lying, stuck by your word, and even posted a video of said incident, which is fucking hilarious.
Da Browns, I too appreciate the work that went into it, but I disagree with a lot of the list as well. -
DaBrowns41Let's hear them guys! I'm always down for thoughts and comments!
-
j_crazyI'll do it later, it's going to take some time to really get mean with my criticism. Insults don't come to me like they used to.
Seriously I'm busy now, but I'll put some though into it later. *For the record I'm not an expert, but I know enough to have an opinion on this. -
lhslep134Okay, I'll start with a few things I noticed right away, I don't want to spend too much time breaking down because I'm at work right now.
I think Tebow should be higher, I think he'll get a shot in the NFL, whether it's because Jacksonville loves him or not.
Other guys that I feel should be higher:
Jahvid Best
Taylor Mays
Colt McCoy (not too much higher, but higher than 61)
Dezmon Briscoe
Guys that I feel are rated too high:
Jonathan Dwyer
Jimmy Clausen
Brandon Spikes -
jordo212000Add me to the list of people who thinks this list has flaws.
-
trep14Yeah, I don't like this list.
-
j_crazyThings I don't like:
1. Clausen - too high. top ten probably, but in no way is he top 5 talent.
2. Haden - too low. I'd put him at 3. Physically the most gifted CB in 3-4 drafts.
3. A. Davis - too high. I'd put him below T. Williams, and probably out of the top 15. I know he has the big frame, but he didn't exactly shine in the BE where there are almost no pass rushers.
4. Bradford - way too high. I think live workouts in a training camp setting would kill his stock, he doesn't make good decisions with the ball.
5. Dunlap - too low. He may get drafted where he's ranked, but this guy is a stud and should be a top 10 player.
6. Benn - too high. the combine will work this out, because he's going to struggle catching balls just like he did at Illinois.
7. Gresham - too high. has had injury issues before the one that ended his college career. teams notice things like that, top 20 talent otherwise.
8. Weatherspoon - too low. depending on how he performs in Indy, he'll be much higher. I think he's as good McClain mentally, but not as physically gifted.
9. Golden Tate - too high. he very well may have a good career, but it will be as a #2 or a slot WR, he can't separate from DB's good enough to warrant a top 50 ranking.
10. Brandon Lafell - too low. IMO he's the 2nd best WR in this class.
these are my top 10 gripes. -
hoops23I'm not going to bash a guy for compiling a list of players that are ranked at their #'s based on HIS opinion. However, I can disagree with it.
BUT, no LIST is perfect. The only thing that really stands out to me is Jimmy Clausen at 4. He's not a top 5 talent. -

I'm not the one that was all over him, I just thought it was ridiculous to say someone is a piece of shit because they talked shit during a HS football game.lhslep134 wrote: Tha dynasty. And then when he was proven as a liar, I lost every ounce of respect I had for him. -

Best is a guy that I've had a problem with placing. It's too hard to tell where he'll be after the injury, and to be honest, while he's a quick, scat back, type of player, he was never THAT impressive to me.lhslep134 wrote: Okay, I'll start with a few things I noticed right away, I don't want to spend too much time breaking down because I'm at work right now.

Taylor Mays is the most overrated player in this entire draft, and he was exposed this year. He's only been able to play 1 position in 3.5 seasons starting with USC and this year really showed how dependent he was on the elite front 7 he had the previous two seasons. He's got all of this size, and speed. He's got great measurables... but he never does anything. He doesn't make plays, he misses tackles constantly and doesn't know how to wrap up.
I think he'll probably be picked higher just because of his combine, but I don't think he's that special, until he actually does something other than sitting 20-25 yards behind the LOS not letting anything behind him. That position doesn't exist in the NFL. Sometimes you have to blitz, cover TE's, cover WR's, etc.
With all the talent in the draft, McCoy slips down to late 2nd/early third area, IMO.
Dezmon Briscoe is a guy that could go higher, but I think there are more talented receivers than him, and I think he was too raw and needed to stay in school another season.
As for Dwyer, I personally think that he's better than what he showed at Ga Tech. He was in an offense that didn't even utilize all of his abilities. The guy can catch and block, very well. He's a complete RB, but you never got to see it. Same with Demaryius Thomas. You didn't get to see how complete a WR he was because he didn't catch 60 balls a season and run routes as often as most WR.
Brandon Spikes is just slow and doesn't get off blockers. But that doesn't mean he'll slide mid to late 2nd round. Because he's so strong and he has good wrap up ability, he'll be a late first, IMO. He's a Rey Maualuga clone. Both had their ups and downs at their respective colleges, and were picked on a lot prior to the draft for being slow and struggling to get off blockers.
Jimmy Clausen is a guy that can make all the throws. It's between he and Bradford as to who is the best QB of this class, and I think it's Clausen, TBH. Clausen has a strong arm, can throw great in a horizontal system, or could make it in a vertical passing attack. He's a smart kid with a very high ceiling. He's top 5, IMO. -
DaBrowns41Also guys, please take the time to point out what you specifically don't like. Nobody makes a perfect list. Kiper, Mayock, McShay, Steuber, etc. all make lists that get ripped on.
I know it's not perfect. I want to know what you don't like about it and why.
It's apart of the debate/discussion process. -

Haden is VERY talented, but if you're putting him at 3 then you're either saying he's better overall than Suh, G. McCoy or Eric Berry, and that's simply false. All three of those players are guys that should be perennial Pro-Bowlers. Haden is going to be up there as well, but he's slightly on a lower tier compared to those guys. I could understand putting him over Okung, Williams, or Davis, some of the nice OT's, but also not over McClain. I think the highest I would ever have Haden is 6.j_crazy wrote: Things I don't like:

these are my top 10 gripes.
My reasoning for having Davis higher than Williams is because Davis is more of a true LT. Williams is a franchise tackle in the NFL.... on the right side. Williams did help his stock by playing center in the bowl game, however.
Bradford and Clausen are the two most talented QB's, and they will go higher than they probably should. But Bradford is very talented and would fit into a WCO very well.
I like Dunlap. But I struggle with wondering how effect he will be in the NFL. He gets pushed around too often, and is weak. He reminds me of Calais Campbell, however, who has developed well in his 2nd season being in a 34, despite being told that he would be terrible in the 34. It's about work ethic, and that's what I question about Dunlap.
Regis Benn is one of my favorite WR's and I think he's underrated if anything. He's probably going to fall to mid-2nd round, in favor of LaFell and Williams, but he's still very talented. A very talented WR who excels in running crisp routes and down field blocking, as well as making plays for the balls and being a physical WR. It didn't help him that he didn't have the best QB throwing the football to him.
If you think Gresham is too high, then you should also think Gronkowski is too high. Both of them have big time injury problems, but are both top 20 talents.
Weatherspoon is this low because he's such a big unknown. He played for a Mizzou defense that was very disappointing at times, but he was a defensive leader, and he's versatile enough that I think he could play inside or outside in a 34, if he needed to. I love him, and think he could easily go higher, but I don't think he will get drafted where I think he deserves to.
LaFell's problem is that he doesn't have great speed, and the NFL nowadays covets speed (hence why Gilyard is so high). I love LaFell and think he's one of the best overall WR's in this draft, but I don't think teams are going to draft him that high because it's too hard to tell if he'll be a reliable #1.
As for Tate, I love his ability to go up and get the ball, which is one aspect of a players game that is so important in the NFL. Despite his lack of height, he does a great job at going up and getting the ball at it's highest points, and running solid routes. His speed is an issue, but he's a great red zone target despite his size. -
thedynasty1998How do you project Rocco Pentello's pro potential?

Are there any grown ups that want to discuss the NFL Draft, or do we all want to be stalkers and act like 10 year olds? -
j_crazymy beef is having gresham 26, with his injuries, he's not deserving of that spot. put him at 43 with gronkowski and I'm fine with it. If both are healthy it's hard to tell which one will have a better career.

I noticed that, and that's something I put in for my next changes to be made.
