  I really don't care one way or the other. But maybe Mayweather only did it this time because he knew Mosley would accept (as he had before), and to make it look like he just didn't want it for Pac. What is with Mayweather and wanting all this drug testing anyway? He is being a douche.

  Pac could have shut him up by just agreeing to the test. He always had an excuse, and when it was proven to be irrelevant(afraid of needles, not taking blood within __ amount of time of the fight, etc) he'd always come up with another one. Then he eventually turns down what would have been the biggest payday in his career over it. You'd have to be incredibly bias to not think there's something suspicious about that.

  I heard there was a deal in place and Mayweather was the one that turned it down. Is this wrong?
  
  In my opinion, it seemed from day 1 that Mayweather didn't really want any part of Pacquiao. As time went on, it appeared that both parties were at fault in the situation and there had to have been a middle ground.

  Honestly, if everyone thinks Mayweather didn't want any part of Pacquiao then why didn't Pacquiao agree to the testing and let Mayweather look like an idiot trying to get out of it? There is no backing to thinking Mayweather didn't want to fight when it was Pacquiao who didn't stand up and put the pressure on Mayweather.

  I do find it extremely sketchy. Which is why I don't care either way. But I still think Mayweather is being dumb requesting all of it.

  Mosley is an admitted steriod user and not in the same situation as Pacquiao.
  He agreed to extra testing when Judah demanded it too but Golden Boy would not allow it.
  Now with a much bigger payday on the line GBP is willing to agree to it, amazing how that works.
  
  Anyone who is not an admitted or proven PED user should never agree to any extra testing.
  The testing rules are established by the commission not your opponent.
  You negotiate purse splits, venue, date, gloves and so forth NOT rules.
  
  Since drug testing rules are up for negotiation maybe things like low-blows and rabbit punches should be too.
  How about rounds?
  Let's see somebody negotiate 15 rounds.
  I think I could get behind the boxer that tries to bring back 15 rounders.

  At what point did you think this was a valid comparison? When you were typing it Before? After?
  
  Those are all fundamental rules of the sport. Weights are negotiated(and were negotiated heavily by Pac and conceded by Mayweather I might add) drug testing should be and isn't any different.

  I can see where Pac would deny the drug testing, but not be on PED's. Imo, it was a power play by Mayweather basically, "We'll fight by my rules or it isn't gonna happen". I know I would not give in to someone if given that ultimatum.

  It is a valid comparison for anybody with a slight clue. Rules are rules regardless of how long they have existed.
  If Floyd or anybody else wants rules changed, appeal to the governing body. Star boxers with powerful promoters actually have some clout with commissions you know. The NSAC changed the rules on glove sizes to bring Margarito/Cotto to Vegas in 2008.( In a nutshell:147 & above required to wear 10 oz gloves in Nevada, Cotto refused, Top Rank appealed, 8 oz gloves allowed, fight goes to Vegas ) Drug testing rules are likely going to be changed/improved as a result of all this anyway but anybody who thinks Floyd is doing this to champion some cause is a moron.
  There was no mention of extra drug testing for Malignaggi when he was the front-runner to meet Floyd next.
  Now his possible opponent is an admitted PED user, failing to demand any extra tests for that particular opponent after what just happened would make him look very bad.
  Also Mayweather did not concede to any weight demands, the fight was going to be at 147, not some catch weight. He conceded to utterly ridiculous fines should he fail to make weight but he didn't allow any weight draining, catch weight bullshit from the Pacquiao camp(which I commend him for btw).
  
  Something that seems to be getting missed in all of this:
  BOTH boxers are moving on to dangerous opponents.
  If you are really looking for "safe" opponents Clottey and Mosley absolutely are not the boxers you choose.
  Mosley/Mayweather IS stepping up to the plate.
  It is a fight boxing fans have wanted to see for years, it may not be as big as Pac/PBF but it is more than acceptable and it's a pay-per-view I will not hesitate to buy.
  Since I am not made of money I will pass on Pac/Clottey to spend my money on Mosley/Mayweather.
  I want to see Pac/Clottey.....................................just not as much as I want to see SSM/PBF.

  You don't honestly believe there was a chance Mayweather would go to the scales weighing more than 147 do you?
  Since when has 147 been a problem for Floyd to begin with?
  
  Besides that if the weight is killing him, he would just cite some injury, pull out of the fight a few days ahead of schedule, take massive bad press for it(which he is used to anyway) and avoid that fine.
  There was no chance of Floyd ever actually having to pay those fines.
  He killed the fight when he couldn't make up new rules as he goes, he would certainly kill it before conceding ten million + at the scales.
