Lebron wimps out of the dunk contest

I would take Greg Simpson over both of them back in the day. Probably before most of you guys time though.2quik4u wrote:

lolz at calling LeBron not creative at age 17-18. -

lolz Brown now or LeBron now???2quik4u wrote:

One is in the dunk contest and the other is afraid to lose in the dunk contest so he won't participatedevil1197 wrote:

so you tell me -

Whats that have to do with a dunk contest?devil1197 wrote:

devil1197Haha, LeBron doesn't need the attention Shannon is craving by joining the Dunk Contest.
LeBron has improved so much in his athletic ability from age 18 to now. Brown has improved but he is not near LeBron.
Both have hops but I'd take LeBron because he is has hops and power. -
Footwedge
That was a long time ago chief.2quik4u wrote:

Hb31187Lol Brown may not be the athlete that LBJ is...But he gets head above the rim just the same as LBJ and hes only 6'4 not 6'8. LBJ IFFFF he has an advantage in hops, its not by much
-
sleeperIt's a shame we won't get to see the greatest player of all time in the dunk contest, but Lebron is too focused on winning championships to have time for meaningless competition.
-
Hb31187Yeah I understand that being in the dunk contest means you cant be focused on winning the finals. I mean afterall Dwight was in the contest last year and LBJ wasnt and his focus carried them by the Magic in the playoffs...orr wait..
-
jordo212000
what are you talking about devil1187? haha. They are talking about the dunk contest way back in the day. What does how good they are now have to do with anything? Yes LeBron is obviously better. I mean I don't even have a dog in this fight, I don't care. The anti-Lebron, pro-Lebron camps just provide me with a lot of comedic entertainment.devil1197 wrote:

You gotta love when people throw out the "he doesn't want to get injured" or "he wants to win a championship" cardsHb31187 wrote: Yeah I understand that being in the dunk contest means you cant be focused on winning the finals. That strategy has obviously worked for him in the past -
devil1197
They said Brown should have won in the past and that LeBron isn't creative. That was how many years ago and that won't translate into Brown being anywhere near LeBron now.jordo212000 wrote:

LeBron would eat Brown alive along with everyone else in the league outside of possibly Josh Smith. There are only a hand ful of guys with close to the athleticism that LeBron has. -
jordo212000
Yeah so what does how good Lebron is now have to do with it?devil1197 wrote:

wildcats20No one BUT YOU is talking about athleticism. Bron's dunks compared to The Canon's back in 2003 were not as good. That is what everyone is talking about. Why can't you see that?
-
Hb31187Yeah but unfortunately for LBJ, talk is cheap. Til he does he just makes himself look like a poor sport who doesnt wanna put on a show for the fans and doesnt want his image tarnished with a loss on that stage
-
hoops23lol @ the dick slapping match over the dunk contest.. smh..
-
jordo212000
that is exactly what this is all about. If other superstars did the dunk contest, I'd say he'd do it. But LeBron doesn't want to lose to a bunch of nobodies. There is too much at stake (i.e. his rep). Remember when Lebron's boys confiscated the video tape of the guy dunking on him?Hb31187 wrote: and doesnt want his image tarnished with a loss on that stage -
hoops23LeBron is definitely a terrible person. I can't believe he puts in so much money towards building new parks in Akron and Cleveland and donates money/charitable items to charity and still attends his alma maters games, even embracing the players on the other teams after they lose...
The man backed out of the dunk contest, he should probably get life in prison. -
Hb31187Yes we're saying hes a terrible person and should be locked up in jail. No im calling him out on backing out numerous years in a row of the dunk contest for next to no reason. He owes it to the fans, hell hes the most popular player in the league, or at least dont SAY you will then back out last minute.
-
hoops23Kobe probably told his wife he wouldn't cheat on her too...
Just sayin'.
The real backing out is when Carmelo got into that fight a few years ago... Now THAT was backing out, lmao! -
Hb31187Lol, i love cleveland fans

But, if Lebron wanted to rape someone, he would win the rape off!!!LTrain23 wrote: Kobe probably told his wife he wouldn't cheat on her too...

Seriously? You guys (and I'm including OTHER Cleveland fans) are arguing about a lame ass dunk contest that people have stopped caring about. It's not the same as it used to be when Jordan did it, or even when Vince and Kobe were doing it...Hb31187 wrote: Lol, i love cleveland fans
That's why you NEVER see it full of superstars anymore..
It's lame as fuck.. -

Ok and Lebron had a chance to bring it back and he dropped out like a bitchLTrain23 wrote:

hoops23lol, you clearly don't see that I don't give a fuck. In fact, I'm glad he dropped out. I guess it gives people like you a reason to bitch more.. So he made your day.
