LaDanian Tomlinson

223 Carries for 730 yards...3.3 yrds per carry. He did score 12 TD's. Lowest YPC of any RB in the NFL with over 150 carries. Is he finished?
  • Lovejoy1984
Nope, but he's done being the featured back. He's destined to continue to be a dangerous threat in the red zone however. And out of the backfield as a receiver.

    cool LT video

Nope. As mentioned, he no longer has to be a every down back, which helps the team. Now they are more of a diverse offense. He still would be one of the top 3 backs I would pick to play on my team (Behind C. Johnson and A. Peterson).

Def dont think he is done but yeah his days of a featured back are finished.

NFL is a changing landscape on offense. I think the days, for the time using a feature back as your main offense, and winning, could be ending.

Of the top 16 individual rushers this year........only FIVE of those teams made the playoffs. 5. Five of the top ten rushing teams made the playoffs compared to 8 of the top 10 passing teams. Only two passing eams in the top 10 that didnt make it were both only eliminated late on the last week of the sesaon.

He's the best back in the league....isn't that what he says??? Better than Peterson, I know he claims that much.

He's finished being a 1st round fantasy pick, that's for sure.

It's no doubt that RB's have the shortest life span in the NFL, and he had a damn fine career.

He's going to continue in San Diego with a lessened role. He's not the work horse anymore, the Chargers can't afford to live off of inconsistency.

Is LT even top 15-20 in the NFL anymore?

    I don't think so.

I could make the argument that he's not the best back on his team.

Serious? LT isnt even a top 25 RB anymore.

I'll take Rice, Jones-Drew, Chester Taylor, dude from Carloina, Jones and some others before LT.
  • Laley23
Yeah, I could probably name 15 better backs than LT.

Off the top of my head:
    Peterson
    Jones Drew
    Turner
    Jackson
    Rice
    Stewart
    Williams (Both)
    Johnson
    Jones
    Wells
    Benson
    Brown
    Grant
    Gore

Hell even some unprovens like Forte, Charles, Jackson, Mendenhall, Moreno, Harrison etc could be put ahead of him. LT just doesnt have anything left outside of short yards to the endzone.

Add Shonn Greene and Leon Washington to that list, too.

I actually picked up Shonn Greene in fantasy thinking he may be worth keeping for next year (we keep 2 players and a FA pick-up).
