  2nd to last play of the game they missed a helmet to helmet on Rodgers, which would have been a 1st down. Last play, after the INT, a facemask dragging Rodgers down! INT would have stood, but the return brought back.

  it will probably go into the books as a fumble because the refs didn't make that distinction on the field

  You are right...in terms of historical record...in fact I think it's on;y about 54%. My point was that in this type of game....when there was a total of maybe 2 punts...the odds would be around 95%.

  So in retrospect, GB's best chance to win would have been for Havner to go down on the 2 yd line, run two running plays to get the clock down and using Ariz timeouts, then a 3rd running play to get a first down on the half yd line, then punch it in for a TD on whatever down the clock will be down to 5 seconds, saving enough time for another time-out and last chance to score a TD if needed. And then convert a 2 point conversion for a regulation time win. Sure is difficult when your defense can't stop the opponent!

  What would have been really interesting....if the last play was an incomplete pass making it 4th and 5. Would they punt? Or play Bellichek ball and go for it?
  
  They were 2 of 2 making 4th down conversions.
  
  We will never know....but I would have gone for it on 4th and 5....no questions asked. Arizona punted once the whole game.

  It would have been off setting penalties and the down replayed. How does that effect what happened 2 plays later???

  Play brilliantly all game, but make a bone head play/interception in crunch time to lose the team the game.
  
  It's a shame because he played a great game leading them back, but I could see how they were feeling Deja vu seeing the game end in a very Favre like manner where you negate all the good you did with one play you would love to have back.
  
  I thought Browns fans were brutal, but attacking a Qb that threw for 420+ and 4TD makes us look tame.

  I would have thought that going for it on 4th and 6 at your own 24 would have been a good strategical call by GB.

  I wanted the Pack to prevail but that didn't happen. Rodgers was hit helmet to helmet and there was no call. He was getting the Brett Favre treatment lol.

  I wouldn't say that was a "bonehead play", just an unfortunate result. Most of the time it would be 4th and 6, and if they go for it, AZ would be closing in on the short routes similar to what they were on the first down in OT when Rodgers and Jennings weren't on the same page for what should have been a game winning play, So I would have tried that same play again to win it on one play!

  I may have missed this in the thread, but it was very clear that as the helmet-to-helmet occurred, the referee was tossing the flag at the hold that was occurring.

  I have reviewed that final play several times, and am changing my mind that it was indeed a "bonehead play" by Rodgers. The bonehead part stems from his competetive desire to keep the play going. I think if the play was reviewed it would be classed as a pass, due to the tuck rule, and would have been incomplete had the ball fallen to the turf. But as we all know it never made it to the turf, was picked off in the air and taken for the winning TD. The bonehead part of Rodgers was that he intentionally tried to keep it going by sticking out his foot and knocking the ball back up in the air allowing it to be taken in the air. If Rodgers just lets it drop it's 4th and 6, and they can either go for it, or punt and the game would have still gone on.
