Week 4 Bungals @ Browns

No shit he's good. And the Titans stink without Mariota. And Watson is going to fuck up our draft picks. Fuck

Moving on, what are the odds these coaches don't get fired after this year? 1 to 3 (maybe?) wins in two years? Tough to blame that on anything.
Also, first time watching redzone during the early games this year, it's awesome.

S&L man, you said the SAME shit about Wentz last year that you are blasting people for today.
  • iclfan2
Who sees a winnable game on the schedule? This shit is bad

    He's a top 5 linebacker.

But they looked so strong during the National Anthem.

I still think you can beat the Jets next week.

I am glad I was flying during this game.

Yeah, Wentz is a good QB. He's another QB we passed on. Could have just had our franchise QB. Decided to trade it for more picks that we would fail on.

I don't. Unless the browns are +14 I'd never bet on that

The talent level on this team sucks but the coaches can't be given a pass. Have to be able to get a few wins with this crappy talent and I don't see them doing it. I don't see them getting another year if they duplicate last year (or worse).

If this team goes down 14 points it's pretty sad that my mindset is "well, this one's over.....time to go mow lawn or do whatever." Team doesn't have the offensive firepower to overcome even a 14 point deficit.

As far as the defense goes? Total embarrassment. That screen pass to Bernard was a defensive effort you'd see in a Pop Warner League. No heart or guts with that group. Even with the addition of Garrett and the return of Shelton/Collins I'm not sure it improves much.

As far as the offense? If I were to bet, at this point, they will be going after a QB with the #1 overall pick in this draft. People here talking about Watson vs Kizer....was NOT a Watson fan (still am not) but Watson has one thing that Kizer doesn't and can't really be taught.....accuracy. Still think Watson has a weak ass arm.

Granted, they should throw the whole receiving corps in a pit, followed by a lit match, but Kizer's errant throws don't help and I don't think that's something that can/will be corrected. Too bad because he has all of the other tools you'd want.

Overall, this team is unwatchable. If they get a win it's going to be one of those "blind squirrel finding a nut" scenarios.

I wasn't ever a Watson fan either. But he's proving us all all wrong so far. It's amazing how tough it is to predict NFL QB's. Not many were high on Watson, and he just broke the rookie record for TDs in a game. That's why I said just take a qb in the first round every year til we find our franchise qb. If it's a crapshoot with every player, might as well take the top rated ones and see if he'll pan out. Because if he does pan out, your franchise will trend upwards.

I'm sure a QB is going to jump to the front of the pack by the end of the season but, right now, I'm not all that impressed with everyone's preseason darling (Darnold).

Was thinking about this on my drive in....is it possible that this team, with (supposed) more talent is actually worse than last years? Last year's roster was horrid but at least they fought the first four weeks. This year's team is getting worse by the week.

He has one good game. Let’s settle down on the watson hype. Mariotta torched it up first game as a rookie and he pretty much has been average. RG3 wrecked the league his first season and he isn’t in the league. Knee jerk reactions to QBs are ill advised. Wait until the league has film on them. Still don’t think Watson will even be be best QB in that draft class.

Nah....if the Jets put up 50+ on them, I'd say that's as close to rock bottom as they will get. I know they've been bad since the return but this year is especially disappointing/depressing. I would've thought they'd be trending upward. After that 1st TD yesterday they pretty much gave up.

In an earlier press conference, Hue said "we go out every week expecting to win." That's complete & utter bullshit. This team goes out every week "hoping", not "expecting" to win. Big difference.

I still laugh at you guys who thought we had a decent amount of winnable games.

It’s not just one game. You can watch him play and see that he has qualities you want in an nfl qb. We would all kill to have him or trubisky or any other of the dozen QBs that we passed on over the years to instead draft a lineman or a safety or a WR that isn’t making our team a .01% better.

I can't remember the exact number I said but it was somewhere between 6-8. In my defense, two of the four losses were winnable as they only lost by three points. Looking at the rest of the schedule, I still say Jaguars and Jets are winnable. And I'll even throw in the Bengals game because they're as weird and inconsistent as anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if Dalton played the complete opposite in that game as he did yesterday.

At this point, I'm not so sure it matters. Seems like Sashi Brown is Ray Farmer 2.0 when he comes to how much he values WR's (he doesn't). These receivers are so bad that I'm not sure any QB is going to put lipstick on that pig. Britt wasn't great coming in here but now it's as if he has the yips. He's dropped balls in the past but it's like he's completely forgotten how to catch and seems like he doesn't care IF he catches anything thrown his way. And now it seems like DeValve, who I considered fairly reliable, has caught whatever Britt has.

I still contend that Kizer's accuracy issue is going to be his downfall, and can't be corrected, but I would at least like to see what he could do with some legit WR's supporting him.

When these "winnable" predictions were made, the teams they could have (projected) beaten were just as bad as the Browns, on paper. The Jets looked like they were in full on tank mode, the Colts were atrocious (lame duck coach) and many were considering the Bengals the worst team in football. Most would've thought the young Browns crew would be improving, and trending upward, rather than regressing. The roster isn't stellar but it has improved from last year. At worst, one would've though they could keep the games close, with the revamped O-Line if Hue would just RUN THE DAMN BALL.

lol--everybody always wants what they don't have...gotta love that greener grass
