Tribe - Twins 5/12-14

  • Benny The Jet
Didn't see anyone else post so I will. Tribe's lost 2 straight series, need this one at home. Down 1-0 heading into 9th after great start from Tomlin...and stop me if you've heard this yet this year....and anemic offensive showing so far. Can't figure this team out.

Only lost 1 series. Beat KC 2/3.

Detroit? Or was that before KC?
  • Benny The Jet
Should have checked 1st, you're right. Detroit series loss was before KC win. It'd be nice to get the 1st game of a series now and then too.

Absolutely a pleasure watching Josh Tomlin tonite ...8 innings....1 run, 6 hits 7K and 1 BB. And he gets a loss.

Absolutely painful to watch tribe hitters....SMH. :(

Offense is struggling mightily right now. Keep saying they are too good to be down too long, then they go another week with 20 total runs.

Wife was at the game. Tomlin can't pitch much better than that.
  • Benny The Jet
Seemed like last year they lived on that 2 out RISP base hit...that's been non existent

Didn't get to see this one, but box score doesn't look good for Indians. This is why I agree with some other posters that I'd much rather keep Tomlin up than Bauer. Tomlin has the head on his shoulders you need, regardless of talent

these...and Tito (believe it or not) actually alluded to this in his pg presser...struggling on the road offensively is one thing, but at home? not good

absolutely--I said the exact same thing last week...Bauer's a head case, and if anything, he should be in the pen

Excited to see Clevinger again today. Was very good first time out, but still had his walk issues, which he had gotten rid of to start year in AAA. Maybe less nerves, and even better control today?

Guess not. 2 walks in 1.1 innings already. Filthy stuff going today, just that his misses aren't close to strikes, so he gets no swings on his pitches out of the zone.

apparently the majors still a little too big for Clevinger...someday maybe
  • Laley23
Throw strikes. He just seems so scared to throw a fastball when he has 2 strikes. And seems to only want the "chase" strike outs.

good lord, our offense is non-existent--it's crazy how contagious this slump has become
  • vball10set
We let Napoli walk and spend millions on EE...laughable...and fwiw, CB Buckner is a fricking joke
  • Benny The Jet
The Indians haven't had an RBI in the last 24 innings....soooooooooooooooooooo that's something.
  • iclfan2
Martinez dfa'd and Guyer to DL.

    Bombs away, today!

    Hopefully this will be contagious.

    And Bauer pitching well, too.
  • Con_Alma
Kipnis lighting it up but he also let one go right through the 5 hole in the field.

hope so too...Bauer pitched well two times through, then imploded--sorry, he's bullpen material...period.
