Indians vs. The Kitties - May 1st - 4th #RallyTogether

At least he is good. Avila kills us and only us. That guy blows versus the rest of MLB.

    True about Avila.

Kluber left with injury, which was feared when he left after 3IP and 55 pitches.

Thankfully, just a back. But back injuries can be fickle.

Just a back? That's that's the number 3 worst thing it could be after an elbow and shoulder.

A bad back could linger for a long time.

You basically repeated what I just said.

Back is better than anything arm and shoulder related, but can be fickle.

Ugh... whoever was hoping to see Clevinger may get his wish. Hopefully, it's just the cold weather causing Kluber's back tightness. I would expect the Tribe to take no chances ...I predict 15 day DL :(

Is there a 15 day DL anymore? I think it's just 10 now.

Bright side of today, Yan Gomes continues to show life at the plate.

    Break those brooms out today

That said, that may be a reason, but it's not an excuse....good pitchers overcome that stuff. I'd give him one more start before turning to the farm. Bauer has earned ( at least in my eyes) a longer leash....but there is some talent down in the minors that deserves a shot.
Bauer & Tomlin are hot garbage. Saw a stat that in his last 27 starts, Bauer has only held an opponent to less than 3 runs 5x's. Dude is a head case who needs to be jettisoned. Tomlin isn't much more than a batting practice pitcher. If Kluber is down for any length of time, they are going to need wins from Carrasco & Salazar in every start because the other two can't be relied on.

Guess this shows how close you follow those Kitties since this is a FOUR game series and today is game THREE.

You can only expect classy to show up when things are going his way.

Yep. No talk about the Red Wings this year because they were trash. In the NBA, he's just talking about "printing shirts" for the Warriors because the Pistons are trash. But hey! The Tigers won a couple games at the very beginning of May!

And talking about a sweep...when the series could still be split lol.

Colon called up, probably for only 4 days until they call up Cleavinger for the rotation spot.

These guys are better than average #4 and 5 starters.

Tomlin is a solid #4 pitcher. He has average stuff, but his game is fully polished to the extent of allowing him to have enough success to be a back of the rotation pitcher.

Bauer is still developing as a major league pitcher... he has great stuff, enough to project to an eventual # 2 front end of the rotation pitcher. He obviously needs more polish but I guarantee if you were to " jettison " him, he'd be claimed before the ink was dry. So, how long does/will it take? Consider that Cookie Carrasco was the crown jewel in the Cliff Lee trade. He was terrible... much worse than Bauer ...for years.

Tonkin is better than average 5, but can't give you length without becoming below average.

Bauer is better than average 4 in that he can go 7IP, 2 ER, 9K once a month...but might suck 3 of the other 4 starts with a second good one mixed in.

Ill take it from either, especially Bauer, but might as well see what Clevinger has. He has been lights out this year.

Also, Yandy sitting at .400 since being sent down. Slight increase in power, which is what the main thing Tribe brass wanted to see out of him.

Andrew Miller with 2 innings of nastiness.

    Go Tribe.

It's nice to go from him to the AL Reliever of the Month in Cody Allen.

Tribe up 1. Allen coming in to try to lock it down in the last of the 9th.

Allen imploding--he looks very uncomfortable out there--hope he can get out of this.
  • TBone14
Never in doubt for Allen. They all can't be 1-2-3.
