Ironman92So Steelers drafted a long snapper in the 6th....is that worse than drafting a kicker or punter? I feel it is.

Way worse. Being taught to long snap is much easier than being a good kickerIronman92;1850848 wrote:So Steelers drafted a long snapper in the 6th....is that worse than drafting a kicker or punter? I feel it is. -

So weird. -
Azubuike24I don't see how it's awful logic. The Bengals would get bashed regardless of whether they took Mixon or not. Every team in the NFL has players with history like this. It's just not on tape.

If the bengals didn't take Mixon, we'd be bashing them?Azubuike24;1850873 wrote:I don't see how it's awful logic. The Bengals would get bashed regardless of whether they took Mixon or not. Every team in the NFL has players with history like this. It's just not on tape. -
like_thatI'd love to take some of the drugs that Azu is on where he comes up with some of his sports takes.

Buike has some good takes. But every now and then he says something where you're just like uhhhh...what!?!?
This was one of those. -
isadoregosh a ruddies, with their previous record of players, the drafting of Joe Mixon has accomplished the franchise's long term goal to become an on going criminal conspiracy. They now all under the provisions of the RICO statutes.
Mixon will apprentice under PAC Man
Mixon shares an agent with Jones and has talked to him once or twice.”He’s a good dude,” Mixon said. ”Coming over here, I’m sure he’ll show me around.” -

gosh a ruddies, I realize it will be tough for you with all the new you don't know, terms you don't understand and concepts that are beyond your comprehension.SportsAndLady;1850879 wrote:Oh great isaderp found the pro sports forum. -

No, they wouldn't shed their reputation in the eyes of the public either way.SportsAndLady;1850874 wrote:If the bengals didn't take Mixon, we'd be bashing them? -
Azubuike24How about the hypocrisy too? I heard this take on Dalvin Cook.
"The Vikings didn't care about the concerns over Cook's past, including his "posse" that many have talked about. He's going to Minnesta, about as far away from Florida as possible and will be under a "no-nonsense" coach like Mike Zimmer. He should be fine.
Again, the Bengals and Marvin Lewis have a certain reputation that the franchise will never shed in this era. -

I think what S&L is calling you out on was originally worded odd by you. But I get your point. The Bengals are a moral dumpster fire with or without Mixon. I badly wanted them to cut Pacman instead of giving him his 20th second chance. Obviously no one in the organization cares about accountability or doing the right thing. Mike Brown is terrible. -
Azubuike24The point is the Bengals already have a shitty reputation and it will remain probably as long as Marvin Lewis, Mike Brown, Adam Jones and Vontaze Burfict remain part of the organization. The public won't ever let it down, even if they go years without having someone arrested. Therefore, why would you all of the sudden take a moral high ground and pass on Mixon when he's one of the best talents of the whole draft and you need a RB?

It was an incredibly weak OL class, which would figure. Mike Sando of ESPN said only 33 OL were drafted total, which is the fewest in the common draft era dating back to 1967. That partly explained why Whitworth and Zeitler got the money they did last month. Time for some of their younger guys from 2015/2016's draft to step up. -

Preaching to the choir. I didn't want them to pass on Mixon. They don't GAF about their reputation so I guess I won't worry about it, either.Azubuike24;1850904 wrote:The point is the Bengals already have a shitty reputation and it will remain probably as long as Marvin Lewis, Mike Brown, Adam Jones and Vontaze Burfict remain part of the organization. Laley23We won't ever know if people let Cincys reputation go, because they won't LET THE ACTUAL PROBLEMS GO! Keeping all those guys, drafting Mixon, bad look.
If if they had parted ways, and not draft problems, who knows? Maybe people DO say nice job? -
SportsAndLady
This is why I was saying that logic is awful to buike. You can't keep getting POS players and say well we might as well take them, we aren't going to shred our reputation for bringing in POS players!Laley23;1850908 wrote:We won't ever know if people let Cincys reputation go, because they won't LET THE ACTUAL PROBLEMS GO! I've been sick of the Pacman/Marvin/Burfict shit for 2-3 years now at least. I was really hoping after they blew the Pittsburgh playoff game due to those idiots that they would clean house and realize this culture hasn't won shit and it's what's keeping them from getting to the next level (AKA winning a damn playoff game). But they keep Marvin who doesn't hold any of the players accountable, and so Jones will always do what he does, Burfict will always be a player who gets a ton of personal fouls and does stupid shit (see the hit on the Ravens TE 2 years ago), and the Bengals will keep their ceiling as a 10-12 win team that doesn't have the discipline to win in the playoffs.friendfromlowry;1850903 wrote:I think what S&L is calling you out on was originally worded odd by you. BR1986FBI didn't watch the last day of the draft so this may have been mentioned. I just heard on the radio yesterday that Brad Kaaya's mom is "Felicia" from "Bye Felicia/Friday's" fame.

That talked to him about that. It was a good story about her giving up acting to support him.BR1986FB;1850924 wrote:I didn't watch the last day of the draft so this may have been mentioned. I just heard on the radio yesterday that Brad Kaaya's mom is "Felicia" from "Bye Felicia/Friday's" fame. -

Exactly. My only fear with cutting ties with Burfict is the Steelers picking him up and him crippling AJ with a cheap shot.Terry_Tate;1850918 wrote:I've been sick of the Pacman/Marvin/Burfict shit for 2-3 years now at least.
