1st place Reds vs Cubs

Adelman ripped a double off of Lester. It would've been perfect for Billy to bunt the next ball towards Lester to make him throw Ulithi to first. Lester was pissed, could've sent him over the edge.

That would have been great, with the wet grass too. Bottom 5 in the order do damage again, scoring 3 big runs with rain pending.

GABP video board trolling Cubs fans lol...alluding to the bandwagon

    Shit...Votto just missed it

Great job by Storen after allowing the first 2 on.
  • mhs95_06
Great ending to the inning that seemed doomed at the start with 2nd and 3rd and none out!
  • wildcats20
Cozart should have thrown that as hard has he possibly could at dude's face.
  • wildcats20
    Well f that.

Who were they getting Peralta ready for if not Rizzo? Must have been for only if there was just one out when Rizzo came up!

Fridays seem to be bad for Lorenzen! 4 earned runs last Friday, 3 tonight, his only ones of the season.

Good teams don't miss over the plate ever with the game on the line....then in bottom of 9th Peraza, Duvall and Suarez chase tease pitches while Votto understand this and walks

Why is Barnhart not in front of the plate on that play at home?

Double clutch and bad throw by Duvall. May have been closer, but no way any respectable outfielder should let a guy score on such a shallow fly ball.

Duvall is definitely a respectable outfielder.

Probably, but he didn't demonstrate it there.

Bad angle, double clutch and inaccurate throw. Basically did everything he could to ensure the guy scored. That should be maybe a 10-20% chance of scoring. Ball was maybe 15 feet behind shortstop.

That's why they are the Cubs and we're the Reds.

Yeah he didn't do well there but he's one of the best LF defensively

Yes, Duvall was mostly at fault, but isn't the right place for the catcher to be in front of the plate? Then when the throw is off he can go up the line to get it and mayube get a swipe tag for the out?

Price claimed the right pitcher for Rizzo was in the game and Peralta was warming up to go in if the Cubs took the lead and Lorenzen's pitch count got too high!

Chris Welsh in pre-game today talked about the prospective bunt play last night with Adelman at bat and a runner on first when Rizzo had to exchange his mitt for a regular fielder's glove to keep the baseball rules as the 2nd baseman started the play covering first base. In the reasons for it he mentioned some but neglected the big one why the 2nd baseman shouldn't just play way in to field the bunt. And that is that Rizzo is left handed and in much better position to throw for the force at 2nd.

How long will it be before right and left fielders swap depending who is batting?

Not a good start for Reed with a lead-off walk and wild pitched a non base-stealer to 2nd.
  • mhs95_06
After the 2nd 3-run HR by Rizzo in the series, it looks very probable that Reds will reach an even .500 record before they reach 10 wins!
  • Ironman92
Cody Reed looking really mentally tough.
  • Ironman92
Cubs fans louder than Reds fans. Irritating but as a Reds fan I can't be there so can't really bitch.
  • Ironman92
    Rizzo good
    Votto good
