The Wait Is Over- Opening Day- Tribe @ Rangers- Series Thread

  • TBone14
Expectations are as high as they have been for the Tribe since 2008 and then the late 90's/early 2000's. Media darlings. Cover of MLB preview issues. Preseason MVP and Cy Young candidates. How will the Tribe handle the expectations of the season?

The journey back to October begins in April in Texas.

Monday- Kluber vs Darvish- 7 PM
Tuesday- Cookie vs Perez- 8 PM
Wednesday- Salazar vs Hamels- 8 PM

So pumped. The 90s were amazing, but this, on paper, is the best team I can ever remember Cleveland throwing out on the diamond. Top to bottom of the order, staff, pen, coaching and into the minors is just loaded.

    /Knocks on wood.

Hoping to see some Edwings early and often this year. About fitty of them would be nice.

20-0 Loss. We can't pitch, our attendance sucks, and we'll be lucky to score a run this series.

Yeah, I changed it. Deal with it.

Nice to see the Tribe's home opener is the 2nd week of April, and hopefully avoiding any chance of shitty weather.

This was a great move, imo, by the scheduling department.

I was SO done with that snow out bull shit from years past.

And btw, snow showers are predicted for Thursday and Friday here.

Should have struck out anyway. But I think there wasn't any evidence to overturn.

Rangers squaring Kluber up a bit. His misses are not well located...but only 1 run
  • TBone14
Santana with some bonehead baserunning. My youth umpiring days are long behind me but why does that run count if Santana didn't tag up?

Yea I thought if it was a force he'd still be out. Glad that isn't the case. Don't think Santana knew how many outs there were. Some solid rips second time around now.

Kluber not fooling anybody. Carlos Gomez just hit a baseball 1000 feet off him.

Kluber always starts the season off slow.

Kluber was pretty damn bad for a few months last year. Tito has already cautioned our staff is not where t needs to be because of the postseason run (and how he eased them into their work in spring).
