Saw a post on Barstool about Nap...why did we only do a 1 year deal with him? I know there was some risk but how about a team option? 1 year for 7 but the club option for year 2 is 14 million. He's going to be a free agent and after this season...somebody will open it up and pay him.

    Oh well.

I don't understand why this organization never signs guys with a team option.

I have no idea why they do these one your deals without options... I've complained about it over the past several years . So often they pick up a guy on rehab or on a flyer... They coach the guy up and then the next year he's gone… SMH.

    Pretty good game so far.

The JV Tribe team not competing well.

I'm expecting Classy to show up soon to crow about this ass kicking.

Kluber out 7-10 days with sore quad. Guess he won't be pitching again until game 1 or 2. Not ideal

    Highlights for us:
    Gimenez didn't make any errors
Only five more games to watch Abraham Almonte
We are going to the playoffs

    Highlights for them:
In five days they get to go Moose hunting with Ted Nugent.

    Go Tribe.

They are a game out. With a cake schedule. I'd put money on Tigers making the WC game.

Partied a little too hard at Napolis
  • TBone14
Tribe stays a game behind Boston. Now 1.5 behind Texas as the Rangers hold off the Brewers.

Very good chance we will be on the road games 1 and 2...just a matter of where. We might as well be there healthy.

Mccalister and Merrit pitching the last 2 games of this series. I guess Tito isn't all that concerned with Home field advantage.

I really want home field advantage. Game 1 and 2 are Thursday/Friday and that is really ideal for my schedule...especially if they were to be night games. Games 3 and 4* (if necessary) are Sunday/Monday and that is less ideal.

I get the off day after clinching (lots of hangovers), but man...we are a completely different team away from home. I would have liked to see them put a competitive lineup out there to try and get that best record.

Well, tough to say. As of now, those 2 are part of our rotation!

    Tomlin
    Clevinger
    McCallister
    Anderson
    ???

I get the off day, too. But from here out we should try to go 4-2 or 5-1 and give ourselves a chance. Season ends on Sunday...game 1 is Thursday. That's plenty of time for those guys to rest...it's like the All-Star break.

Salazar played long toss and threw a bullpen session at "75%" on Monday. I haven't heard how he bounced back from it yet. The plan would be for him to come out of the pen for the ALDS potentially but no reason he couldn't start a game and try to give them 3 or 4 innings and follow him up with McAllister for a couple and then turn it over the back end.

Bauer, Tomlin, Clevinger. But I get what you're saying, we don't have many options now. I'd rather start Anderson than Merrit. I think Tito is just getting his pitchers lined up for the playoff series.
Someone made a good point that if we are away at Boston, it is good for Tomlin at 3rd starter at home instead of in Boston.

lol, totally spaced on Bauer. But yeah, I think you get my point. Tito has to realize that going 5-1 (even that might not be enough) is going to be pretty damn tough with what we have. So, Im not really complaining if he is trying to lineup the rotation the exact way he wants it.

    In Tito we trust...'nuff said.

Getting guys some rest is key. Especially lindor, kip and nap. We are going to rely on them huge in the playoffs. Try and get them some fresh legs

I get giving rest...but I can almost guarantee they were getting rest Tuesday due to drunkeness from partying, not because of routine tiredness. Why not stagger it, instead of fielding minor league team? I just looked at the splits this year from home and away...it's unreal.

15 more wins at home, 150 more runs at home, 70 more doubles at home, and 50 points higher BA. Get the home field man...party when you win the ALCS and World Series.

Well, up 1-0 with a 3rd inning rain delay.

On MTV L D right now..........Tom Petty show from Fenwick Park, followed by Don Henley.

    Crank it up.
  • TBone14
Yanks and Sox still scoreless in the 7th.

    Rangers trail by 2...still early.

Cody Anderson took over for McAllister after the delay and promotly gave up 3 runs. The Tribe have 2 in the 4th and have it tied back up at 3.
