Bengals at Steelers
-
Ironman92There aren't a lot of us floating around on here supporting these teams but figured I'd start a thread as to not ruin the NFL Season thread.
In my head I feel the Steelers are the better team but also know the Bengals seem to start off fire hot every year. Home field means little to nothing in these match ups.
I feel whoever wins today will lose later in the season at Cincy. If I knew this was going to happen I'd take the win later in the season.
Football went my way a lot on Saturday...that definitely makes me leery about today. -
Ironman92The last 4 match ups at Heinz the teams have split.
-
Ironman923 runs up the gut and a punt on 1st series, great
Bengals won't do that shit -
Ironman924th and 5 and they go for it...I don't really mind that aggressiveness but it doesn't seem to jive with early play calls in each series. Throwing for a 20 yard gain on 4th and 5 after running a vanilla 1 yard up the gut run on 1st and 10. Why not a 5-8 yard play I guess.
Bengals defense is legit -
Ironman92Great impromptu play
-
Ironman92I don't know who Xavier Grimble is but that was a nice catch and finish into the end zone.
-
Ironman92Ben 8 completions to 7 different receivers....but stall out on good defense on an obvious run then a quick hitter.
-
Ironman92And Dalton 6 completions to 6 different receivers
-
Ironman92Bengals had 3 different penalties call on one punt return lol, 2 holdings and a block in the back
-
Ironman92This stubborn fucking runs on 1st for no gains are just Neanderthal and then do it again on 2nd
Then AB drops a pass lol...no way
Also Dan Fouts is a horrible horrible announcer -
Ironman92Steelers have one of their better lines I feel in many years, but they can't contain the Bengals pass rush.
-
Ironman92Ben throws a bomb for an int, Dalton on 3rd and 5 throws it right to Jarvis Jones for easy pick but drops it, Bengals go for it on 4th and 5 and gets it and worked a FG to close the half. Bengals finding a score that shouldn't have happened before the half was the difference last week. Hopefully not this week.
Bengals defenders catching ball Steelers aren't.
Refs letting them play. -
supermanI just hope Andy and AJ are healthy after the game. Playing against a really good Steelers team and these shitty officials in this shitty weather is just not good for them.
-
AutomatikSTEELERS

friendfromlowryWhat the fuck???? His knee was clearly down?
-
wildcats20Horrible call.
-
ironman02Bengals have been fucked by replay/no replay twice in this game. Obviously blown calls.
-
Automatik2-0!!
-
ironman02I mean, why even have replay if you're not gonna review stuff that matters, or not overturn calls that are completely missed? It's absurd.
-
Ironman92Up 15 with 6:00 left and go to the weak ass prevent and let them go 80 yards without issue in 2:30. It's just mind boggling why teams do that. They held them without a TD the entire game playing a regular defense...gotta make it interesting and then refs blew a call and instead of a comfortable win it's a win with a built in excuse to bitch because this crew is almost always bad and they did it again today. They couldn't decide whether to let the Db's play or not, very inconsistent. Big win, Bengals are good and going to be scary when Burfict returns.
If healthy they are a top 6 team. Their special team punt return unit needs work. -

Yeah, health in January matters way more than this game. Bengals area very good team.superman;1811507 wrote:I just hope Andy and AJ are healthy after the game. Playing against a really good Steelers team and these shitty officials in this shitty weather is just not good for them. -
HereticAnother win over Cincy, another happy day.
-
AutomatikI'm satisfied. The decision to not overturn was correct, not enough evidence.

thavoiceAll wins are good wins, and this was no different.
Now to try and go 1-0 in week 3.
