Tribe vs. Tigers at the Jake - 7

  • GOONx19
He's such a huge part of this team. It changes everything in October. Someone will need to step up.

It's going to take any controversy out of who are three playoff starters are..... Kluber, Bauer, Tomlin. That's it.

Tribe could clinch within the week....and it needs to....need some healing and rest.

Division series you can get Kluber twice and get to the ALCS hopefully. Kluber might have to channel his inner Madison Bumgarner for a successful postseason. Bauer is a gamer and Tomlin seems like a smoke and mirrors guy so it's hard IMO to trust them much come October.

Unreal that this season is ending like this. Best rotation in AL ober 5 months reduced to Kluber and a wild-card in 3 weeks.

I'm still holding it hope that Carrasco can make it back if they make WS.

They announced he's out for season

Salazar has a better chance for that matter, and I think that's slim.

If Cookie's fracture would have been in his left hand maybe there would a chance, but no way on his pitching hand.

There is the chance we start 'Clevenger and Committee' in a postseason game. A game where even if your starter is great you're going to get 4 innings.

There's a chance Tito might go to the full bullpen for a game with the game starting and somebody loose in the pen.

It's a great win but totally devastating.

I'm comfortable with Kluber and Bauer. Bauer is a gamer and I think he has it in him to elevate his game in the postseason. After that...shit man. Tomlin? Potentially Salazar back from injury? Clevenger and committee? Yikes.

Paul Hoynes is getting roasted on twitter after posting an article titled that the season ended yesterday. Kipnis called him out on Twitter, and I've heard from people in the know that the article is posted in the clubhouse and everyone is pissed.

    You gotta believe.

    Go Tribe.

    Bauer is mowing people down.

    Could get interesting .
  • iclfan2
Hitting people with bases loaded not ideal. Nor is hitting 3 people

It's not deliberate IMO, but he's wild as shit today and the TIgers are getting pissed.
  • Gardens35
    Not deliberate.

3 HBP would rile me up too, and look who......Cabrera in the hand, Kinsler in the head, and Victor in the knee.

It might settle down if Detroit takes the lead here, probably won't if Tribe gets out of this.

Bauer stinking the place up again, and it's nice to see Almonte picking up his pitcher...fugly baseball
  • Gardens35
Almonte plays in his own little bubble.

Norris throws the first pitch behind Davis and both benches are warned.

    Miggy 2,500th career hit...only 33. 520 doubles, 440 HR, 1530 RBI

    Sorry, how about this:

Since 2000 only 6 players in MLB have recorded 90+ walks in a season for 6 or more consecutive seasons. Carlos Santana is one of those 6 and one of only 2 active players with the feat and the only one with the streak still current and going.

^^^that's better...and why is Colon out there again?!?

In reality this game doesn't mean shit. We have a 7 game lead in the division. Yes it would have been nice to win it but the division is wrapped up no reason to throw a guy out there on not much rest and deal with more injuries than we already have. We need the bullpen guys to be ready for the playoffs and get some rest
