Marlins vs Tribe series thread

  • Crimson streak
The tribe stay at home after coming off a 3 game sweep of the twins. Carrasco opens it up, with Bauer and Salazar to end it. Let's go Tribe!

Unfortunately we don't miss Fernandez, as he will go tomorrow. But, still a great shot at 2/3.

For whatever reason...he isn't human in his home ballpark. He is truly spectacular there. On the road, he becomes kind of normal.

    For comparison:

    Home: 10-2 1.91 ERA Opponent BA- .204
    Road: 3-5 4.02 ERA Opponent BA- .244

He strikes out 5.12 hitters per walk at home. Only 3.96 on the road.

BAbip (Batting average on balls in play)-

    .326 at home.
    .356 on the road

That indicates that it isn't fluky, his balls get hit harder on road.

Go Tribe. Won't be an easy series. The Marlins have hit a hard patch but you gotta think this will be their last gasp. Cashner has put together back to back good starts. 2 ER over 11 innings vs Cincy and KC in his last two starts. He duels Cookie tonight. I believe Koehler is pitching Sunday and he's not bad.

We need to pile up the home wins here the next 2 series... We finish the season with 7 games on the road versus the Tigers and Royals. We really need a good, solid lead going into hell week.

    Go Crimson streak

    Go Tribe

Need to take 2/3, that starts with a win tonight.

Yelich is a nice player, Ozuna has been slumping a bit but he's very underrated as well. Prado can really string together the hits as well. No Stanton and Gordon struggling.

Fish need these wins more than the Tribe. Tribe should take 2 of 3

    I'd LOVE 2/3, but with Bauer/Salazar, it's very iffy...Go Crimson...GO TRIBE!!!

Bauer has actually been very consistent lately. He's actually pitching his way into the post season rotation if we decide to go with a 3 man. Salazars last start gives me some hope he can turn it around. Also in other news Gomes has started his rehab assignment. He should be back in about 2 weeks which is excellent news for our pitching. I also got this feeling he's going to come back and start hitting well too.

    Go Tribe.

I also noticed the rehab alert from the Rubber Ducks on Gomes. This is excellent news!

Cashner is trouble in the 1st. Don't let him off the hook. Bury these guys early.

Indians were given a gift in the 1st, should have been a strike em out/throw em out on Kipnis/Santana, but they called a clear swing a check swing ball 4 on appeal and the Indians are now up 2-0 with 1 out due to it.

4-0 Tribe bottom of 2nd...got em on, got em over, got em in

3 in for the Marlins in the 1st. Still batting.

Bauer not good. Should be enough for Fernandez. We'll need a miracle tonight.
