Eat the Oreo's...Tribe @ Baltimore (Series Thread)

  • TBone14
Tribe scored 2 in the 4th to spot Kluber a 2-0 lead which he has promptly given right back to the Baltimore. Doesn't appear we are meant to beat these guys this weekend.

Can't turn a double play to save their life this series.

Schoop hits a solo bomb in the 5th. 3-2 O's heading to the 6th.

    Tribe seems lethargic.

Vance Worley is the latest O's scrub starter to tie up the Tribe. 9 straight retired after taking the lead 2-0.

Indians have made many outs hitting weak fly balls on 1-0 counts.

    THAT ' S a pinch hitter.

Apparently we need that hitter... Disappointing to say the least

This, in a nutshell...also, to add insult to injury...

The good news is we draw Gio Gonzalez tomorrow...who isn't having a great year. The bad news is that the O's threw 3 scrubs at us and it didn't matter. Offense was quite poor.

The worse news is Strasburg on Wednesday.

Well, didn't get Chapman. Yankees supposedly have said Miller is off the table. So now what? Lucroy and Smith? Who would you give up to get them?
  • Laley23
I wouldnt give up much. I know Lucroy is a 1.5 year player, but Chapman was still BY FAR the prize of the Market. Cubs gave up #18 and 3 others...Tribe at this point shouldnt give up any of our top 3 if Chapman only required 1 top guy. But, thats just me.

I think Brewers will be wanting a lot, since we gave up CC and got a haul from them (granted, only Brantley panned out...lolaporta). So, that might complicate things.

But we know the Tribe will be dealing. If not, they are content with a Central Division crown, which would be a shame.

Also, this thread has bad mojo. Someone start the Nats thread please.
  • iclfan2
Agreed, we need a lefty, get one. And I'd start the next one but my thread starting luck is terrible.

Zimmer and Frazier both called up to AAA. We might just see 1 or both of them by the end of the season if Brantley can't make it back.

The radio said they doubt either would come up this year due to "owning" then longer, similar to Lindor taking forever to get up there

I think it all depends on Brantley. If he can't make it back one of them would be a way better option than almonte. Regardless will will see both of them next year for sure. Top Prospects don't spend long in AAA.

We won't see them before rosters expand. At that point, your "time clock" doesn't count.

Agreed September would be the absolute earliest.

I wanted Lindor to start the year with the Tribe last year. We don't know how it would've played out, but the way it HAS played out with him, I'm not gonna argue with what this brass does with our youngsters. Naquin, Lindor even Ramirez have all come up under these guys and haven't been too overmatched. Not the way someone like Chiz was. And I'm sure some others I'm not thinking of. Kipnis and Santana were good, not great initially.

I can't definitely agree with that. When those players have come up they have produced an at amazing level.

I'd bet decent money Miller gets dealt
