HitsRusThat was a great win against a very good team.
Hoping for another great start from Tomlin....I expect the Jays to score a few today but Tomlin is a tough competitor and I expect him to keep the Tribe in the game. I hope the Indians have their hitting shoes on today.
The weird 1:07 pm start for today's game is because today is "Canada Day" ... A Canadian national holiday commemorating the day when Canada became a republic in 1867. -
iclfan2What's the over/under of Tomlin giving up a home run? I'll take the 2nd inning.

The bottom was just falling out of his split-change last night. Unhittable pitch when it moves that much.TBone14;1801961 wrote:Cookie...my god. 14 strikeouts. 10 came on his change up which was amazing. Totally unhittable.
1.52 ERA in his last 4 starts.
Just awesome.
13!

jmogTribe up 1-0 in the 3rd off a Kipnis RBI, knocking in Santana in the top of the 3rd.
Tomlin has 5Ks through 2 innings. -
iclfan2
Ha questionable strikeouts which led to the manager and Encarnacion getting thrown out... but I'll take it! Tomlin outlasted by 2 inning guess on giving up a dinger.jmog;1802015 wrote:Tomlin has 5Ks through 2 innings. -
HitsRusTomlin pitches out of a bases loaded jam in the 4th... Still 1-0 Tribe.
-
Al Bundy
Great to see him fight his way out of the inning after Chisenhall misplayed the fly ball.HitsRus;1802024 wrote:Tomlin pitches out of a bases loaded jam in the 4th... Still 1-0 Tribe. -
iclfan22nd and 3rd one out. This doesn't bode well.
-
jmogBases loaded in the 4th, nothing
Bases loaded again in the 5th...come on Tomlin pull something out of your hat again. -

jmogTomlin is scaring me...
-
iclfan2There goes his normal home run, though a lot later than usual. Can't be mad, it is one run (thank goodness no one was on base). Offense needs to help him out.
-
iclfan2Man, Gomes is the lone sad part during this win streak. He can't figure his bat out right now, to the teams detriment.

TBone14Haven't watched but clearly not Tomlin's best but a testament to him. 1 run over 6 innings will never kill you. Way to grind.
Let's see if we have some more late inning magic.

HitsRus1-1 bottom of 8th. Otero on to pitch.
-
iclfan2Bullpen killed it in the 8th. On to the 9th, 1-1.
-
iclfan2As I was saying about Gomes... Lonnie led off with a single and then nothing. Off day for the offense

Ironman92I don't do many non-Reds afternoon games it just rolled in from driving 510 miles from vacation and flipped it on. Bad news though I just watched Raj whiff and that's a terrible omen as he always gets on when I tune in.
Walk off Jays HR I'll guess. -
HitsRusTito plays match up in the 8th, and the Jays are down in order. On to the 9th.
.... Chiz leads off and singles, but Gomes, Naquin and Davis fail.
If the Tribe is to extend to 14 they're going to have to do it in extras. -
TBone14To steal one from the great Rube Baker from Major League 2....
Gomes "couldn't hit sand if he fell off a camel."

TBone14I thought J Ram had a go ahead RBI knock there. Heck of a play by Pillar in center to keep it tied.

Ironman92Nice play (most MLB CF get that and Pillar, while great is a touch overrated defensively)
Playoff type game in early July -
HitsRusAnd Shaw gets them 1-2-3 in the 10 th.

I would call Pillars catch semi routine for a MLB CF. It was the old catch then dive play but he caught it because he got a tremendous read and jump off the bat.Ironman92;1802058 wrote:Nice play (most MLB CF GT that and Pillar, while great is a touch overrated defensively)
