Shanahan will receive five-year deal to coach Redskins

Hopefully he tells the owner what's up. Only way that organization will be successful.

    I agree.

The biggest problem they have is that Dan Snyder blows his load bringing in high priced free agents that really messes with the cap and the ability to bring in solid depth.

Now how are they getting by the Rooney Rule?
Did they fly a African American in 10 minutes after they fired Zorn?Since they said Shanahan was being interviewed hours after the firing. This rule is pretty stupid if you ask me.Why waste a guys time to bring him in when they knew weeks ago that they wanted Shanahan?Unless they interviewed within the team.

They interviewed a member of Zorn's staff earlier this season, once they had decided on firing Zorn, I believe when Bruce Allen was hired. It was Jerry Gray I do believe.

Ok thanks for clarifying that. They would lose a draft pick if they didn't,right?

I am thrilled to have shanahan as the coach...feel bad for zorn the way he was treated this year. Why not just fire the guy when they took his play calling duties away. and to interview people for head coaching while he is still the coach is messed up.

Shanahan has won squat without horse face as his QB -- I don't expect anything different in D.C.

    Tell that to Mike Tomlin.

Dan Snyder was more of the problem than Jim Zorn. He's a younger version of a modern Al Davis.
