2016 NBA Draft/Offseason
-
wildcats20Sixers take Timothe Luwawu at 24.
Really was hoping he would fall to LA. -
wildcats20Clippers take Brice Johnson at 25.
-
SpockTHis draft is terrible.
-
Ironman92Like what OKC accomplished and liked the TWolves getting Dunn at #5
-
Midstate01I've never hidden the fact that I'm not a fan of VO. That being said, I think he will do extremely well in okc. He's a hard worker and that's what russ and KD are. He will get a ton of easy looks and he can get to the basket. Also helps them on defense. Perfect situation for him.

Before the draft I had read that OKC rejected a deal from Toronto of Ibaka for #9, now we see why, haha.SportsAndLady;1801431 wrote:Magic lol
What a junk trade that was. -
Laley23Poor Frank Vogel. Gets a raw deal from Bird in Indy. Thinks he lands on his feet with a young core in Orlando. Then, bam!
As for OKC, assuming Durant stays, I think they are the best team in the West. Sabonis will be a solid big off the bench. -

Was glad to see the former Hoosier land in OKC!Laley23;1801448 wrote:Poor Frank Vogel. Gets a raw deal from Bird in Indy. Thinks he lands on his feet with a young core in Orlando. Then, bam!

Azubuike24Ingram is an average athlete that appears more athletic that he really is. He's a solid player, but people talking about him like he's some freak athlete...just no.

Just curious why ya don't like him.Midstate01;1801443 wrote:I've never hidden the fact that I'm not a fan of VO. That being said, I think he will do extremely well in okc. Midstate01
Just never have. Good defensive player that I thought tried to do too much on offense and was limited. He's improved leaps and bounds though and has started to really develop the jump shot. Which is why I think he will be huge for okc.thavoice;1801469 wrote:Just curious why ya don't like him.

thavoiceI haven't seen much of him in the association but loved him at IU and just followed stats every so often in Orlando.
Seemed to be a late bloomer and very talented and could just be starting to develop into a solid pro.

I have yet to hear anyone say that. I didn't actually WATCH the draft, so I can't speak for those guys. But I have never heard anyone say he's a freak athlete.Azubuike24;1801468 wrote:Ingram is an average athlete that appears more athletic that he really is. Beat me to it lol I've never heard that either.wildcats20;1801475 wrote:I have yet to hear anyone say that. I didn't actually WATCH the draft, so I can't speak for those guys. But I have never heard anyone say he's a freak athlete. -
MulvaI don't think you need to be a freak athlete when you have a 7'3 wingspan on the perimeter.
-
Azubuike24Heard it since he was a Junior...you guys follow recruiting? People have touted his athleticism forever. The name Durant always seemed to come up when talking about him.
-
Ironman92
He's long, thin and can play outside....Durant, while a ceiling measurement...has to be mentioned when describing him.Azubuike24;1801486 wrote:Heard it since he was a Junior...you guys follow recruiting? Azubuike24...and I guess that was my point, he's NOT the athlete Durant is. His other skills, loosely resemble Durant, but that's a lofty ceiling and Ingram never scored like Durant did at any level.
Then again, I can't say I was impressed with either top 2 pick. Hield, Dunn and Murray were just as good of prospects. -
SportsAndLadyKind of more college bball, but anyone else find it funny that Washington hasn't made the NCAA tournament in the last 5 years and they've had I think 5 first round picks in that span? And Isaiah Thomas.
How the hell is Lorenzo Romar still there? Lol -
Ironman92
Because teh Pac 12 is so the strong is the only reason I'm sure.SportsAndLady;1801515 wrote:Kind of more college bball, but anyone else find it funny that Washington hasn't made the NCAA tournament in the last 5 years and they've had I think 5 first round picks in that span? And Isaiah Thomas.

friendfromlowryAnyone worried about Durant coming east? This SI article says the Heat are a legit contender.

But it would certainly make the EC playoffs worth watching. -
Ironman92Pressure mounting on Durant IMO...I can't say he greatly cares but if he is looking for an elite legacy he needs to get over the hump.
I think he stays though. -
Midstate01If the heat sign him they have to not only not sign Whiteside but have time give up a ton of their current roster and get wade to take a pay cut.
