Royals flushed! KC at Cleveland.. Late post thread

  • HitsRus
Just back from Progressive Field where I was one of the 11,000 who chose to focus on the Tribe/Royals battle for first place rather than the Cavs.

No one opened a series thread yet!

The Tribe won the game in a come from behind dramatic fashion scoring 3 runs in the last two innings to stun the Royals 5-4. Carlos Carrasco in his first start coming of the DL was a gamer, if a bit rusty, kept his team in the game and the bullpen was solid in relief.
The win snapped the Royals 6 game win streak... And pulled the Tribe to within 1 game of the division lead.

Salazar and Volquez match up in game #2 of the series on Friday.

Very solid win. I guess the Royals were 27-0 leading going out of the 8th the last 27 games. It's a nice streak to snap. Especially since they have been so solid the last few seasons.

Also, a night at Jacobs Field (Sorry, Still is that to me) is NEVER a bad night!

Yeah, it's still the "Jake" to me....I understand the value of "naming rights" but I wish they could/would have kept some sort of tribute to Jacobs who did so much to restore good baseball in Cleveland. For instance they could kept the field itself named Jacobs Field while naming the entire complex "Progressive Park".... As in " We're here at Jacobs Field at Progressive
    Park in Cleveland Ohio....."

Would have had a nice ring to it and would have "covered all the bases" :)

Camden is my favorite ballpark. I'd like to go back now that they are a decent team again, when I went they were bums.

Being only an hour from Baltimore, a buddy and I are heading to the tribe series there in July. I've never actually watched a game there so I'm pretty pumped to go.

And so is their play, of late.

    Lindor makes me feel things.
  • BRF
    Damn! Another win. 7-1.

    Tomlin moves to 8-1.

HR's from Napoli (13), Naquin and Lindor.
