If Curry's injury serious / Cavs title Tainted
-
TiernanSo King Thugger paid off somebody to "water down the court" last night causing Steph Curry to take a tumble which could eliminate him from rest of playoffs. If Curry doesn't play and the Thuggaliers win it all - it won't mean shit.
-
Commander of AwesomeCavs would still have to beat the SA Spurs which is a top 5/10 NBA team of all time. Nice fail deadbeat.
-
Azubuike24All you will hear is the same you heard last year. The Cavs were down Love entering the finals, it will be the same talk. Also, the Warriors would be dealt a devastating blow, but lets not pretend they just suck without Steph.
-
bases_loadedHow much less will it mean than the Warriors title last year? Two All Stars is worth at least 1 1/2 MVPs right?

The Warriors are the 4th team in the west at best if curry doesn't play anymore. Don't kid yourself.Azubuike24;1793245 wrote:All you will hear is the same you heard last year. Laley23Cavs last year were not just without Love the whole series and Kyrie for basically the whole series. But Shump was injured and not near 100% either.

Yeah, I hate giving this thread any attention, because it was started by a deadbeat, but if the warriros don't make it to the finals I won't give a fuck. If both the cavs/warriors make it and curry is out I also won't give a fuck.Laley23;1793262 wrote:Cavs last year were not just without Love the whole series and Kyrie for basically the whole series. Plus Delly was playing dehydrated... and could barely move.Laley23;1793262 wrote:Cavs last year were not just without Love the whole series and Kyrie for basically the whole series. But Shump was injured and not near 100% either.
I had a huge argument with a guy in California Friday. Because he said well if you (cavs) win it but curry doesn't play it should have an *. So I asked if theirs did from last year since they 1) faced no starting pgs and 2) love and Irving were out. He then said no cause we beat you by 30 this year in Cleveland. Like that matters to last year.
I don't give a shit who the cavs play, could be a D-league team, just win a title.

This is also the narrative on ESPN. Tell him congrats for recycling the bullshit he heard on ESPN today.Midstate01;1793268 wrote:Plus Delly was playing dehydrated... and could barely move.

You would think ESPN was mourning the loss of one of their own the way they covered Curry's injury the last 24 hours. -
TiernanThere will always be an * attached to the title if Curry doesn't play and nobody will recognize them as true champions except for the slugs living in NEO.
-
SpockYea the years Jordan was playing baseball are paper titles
-
friendfromlowryGotta love Tiernan. The Curry news probably wasn't out 15 minutes and he's already on here whining and making excuses. Life must be tough being that obsessed.
-
TiernanLOL you know and I know (IF) King Thugger and the Thuggaliers manage somehow to win it and Curry doesn't play it will never be respected as a "legit" championship and it will hang around the neck of Cleveburgh like a dead skunk for years to come.
-
BRFA title is a title.
No excuses allowed. -
Azubuike24The Warriors aren't winning without Steph. I never said that. They might be the 4th best team in the West, but probably a top 5 team in the NBA, even without him.
My point was, that A) he's gonna be back, whether that's 100% or not, who knows and B) they aren't just going to roll over.
Normally, I'd love to find a Cleveland bash somewhere, but in the end, like GSW last year, you have to get it done with who is there and against who is there. -

I don't think Curry will be 100% until next season. He might be cleared to play but he's going to be favoring his other knee on every movement and there's no guarantee he doesn't re-injure it again.Azubuike24;1793334 wrote:The Warriors aren't winning without Steph. The Warriors are in trouble. I don't see them beating the Spurs without a 100% healthy Curry and they sure as shit aren't beating the Cavs without him. -
Azubuike24Agree. If he's not 100%, or close to it, they are in trouble.
It was in response to the post about the Cavs having a "cheapened" title because of the injury or the Warriors being pushovers. -

thavoiceI think even with Curry that they would havea tough time against SA and the Cavs. Hell, Clev almost beat them without Love and Irving.

like_thatLOL, thavoices first post in nearly a year and immediately proves how pathetic his life is with his obsession of Cleveland success affecting his life.
The curry injury comes and he comes out from hiding (even though he has been reading this whole time) to apply his reverse jinx. The reason Cleveland hasn't won a title yet is because thavoice has been jinxing them this whole time!!!
Either that or his wife divorced him. -

Also interesting that he shows back up, after Tearnen was sent back to the basement.like_that;1793422 wrote:LOL, thavoices first post in nearly a year and immediately proves how pathetic his life is with his obsession of Cleveland success affecting his life.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me, but hey that is his M.O.vball10set;1793423 wrote:lol, hold a grudge much?
To get back on point though, anyone who wins it this year (if it is not GS) it wont be tainted at all, and no one will even really remember or care much about it after the fact.
Rather win a championship with the other team's best player hurt or lose it when they are at full strength? GS doesn't care they won last year with Clev hobbling around.
