Its not just the tribe. Relievers all over MLB just lose it after years of dominancevball10set;1793506 wrote:fify -

I get what you're saying, but I only care about the Indians' woes--and Allen's in particular.Laley23;1793511 wrote:Its not just the tribe. Relievers all over MLB just lose it after years of dominance -

smartest thing you've said in a while...btw, saw Roni Pinciotti over the weekend--she said to say helloLaley23;1793476 wrote:I blame Heretic, who came to Cody Andersons defense before the season when I said he was terrible. Lol -
Heretic
This has been a bad year for formerly solid relievers. For you, both Shaw and Allen have been terrible; for the Reds, their entire pen has been a big joke and for the Pirates, Watson has been more vulnerable and Melancon tried to give away Sunday's game but Arizona's bullpen was just as bad down the stretch.Laley23;1793493 wrote:Someone needs to write a book on the phenomenon of bullpen pitchers just losing it. -
BRFOverpaid pitchers who aren't good enough to be starters.

iclfan2Cody Anderson sent to minors. Will pitch with a 4-man rotation for next 10 days due to off days. Then they will need to make a move. Clevinger?

vball10setI said it before and I'll say it again...Tomlin is NOT a starter. Period.

BRFBig rally going on in the 5th!
-
HitsRusAfter a rocky first inning, Tomlin has settled down nicely ... Tribe leads 6-3 in the 5th.

I respectfully disagree.vball10set;1793666 wrote:I said it before and I'll say it again...Tomlin is NOT a starter. Period. -

I'm with you on that. Tomlin is a great 5th starterLaley23;1793697 wrote:I respectfully disagree. -

As a 5th starter he is one of the better ones in the league. He might not have the best stuff but he keeps you in games which is what you want with your 5th starter. He will have an era around 4 which is excellent as a 5th startervball10set;1793710 wrote:your prerogative...and no response to my Pinciotti 'hello'?

You can tell her hello from me, but I worked there for 4 years and probably saw her like 40 times total. She probably knew me by the end, but I had many interactions where I was called 1 of 4 names, none of which were mine lol. I wasnt an office person. I went to my event, directed it, and went home. Only times I really saw here were when I had to go to office for something, or a random Directors Meeting she would pop in for.vball10set;1793710 wrote:no response to my Pinciotti 'hello'?

This, and I think he end up with an ERA under 4 (not saying you arent saying that).Crimson streak;1793730 wrote:As a 5th starter he is one of the better ones in the league. Since his return from injury last star (about half a season), he is:vball10set;1794018 wrote:like your optimism, and hope you're right...not holding my breath though
10-2
3.05 ERA (estimate, 3.03 last year 3.18 this year)
68 Ks
10 BBs
Whip under 1.00
Now the advanced stats say he is a little lucky, but still good and effective. If he can do this till the ASG, that's a seasons with of starts, and I'd be comfortable saying that is pretty close to who he is.
