Cincinnati Reds @ Chicago Cubs - Game 7/8/9
-
Ironman92Need at least 2 good bullpen guys ASAP
-
Ironman925-2 overall but this one stings
-
Azubuike24When your bullpen is built off the waiver wire and guys who couldn't hack it with a few of the other awful teams, what do you expect?

Ironman92
I expect not to throw this pitch 0-2 in the biggest moment of the gameAzubuike24;1791483 wrote:When your bullpen is built off the waiver wire and guys who couldn't hack it with a few of the other awful teams, what do you expect?
This pitch was called strike 3 by the same ump to end the game

Midstate01Cingrani, jumbo, and hoover can eat a bag of Dicks. The ones with experience are the worst ones.

SnotBubblesReds deserved to win that game. Long season, it'll be okay...of course, there may not be too many opportunities to beat the Cubs.
I told you they would be better than everyone expected. -
Ironman92Getting only 1 there will cost them. Phillips with a poor at bat and Cubs made a nice play to get Schebler
Lackey bitching about the strike zone on the 2nd pitch of the game -
Ironman92Bruce alligator arm'd that a bit but a tough play at Wrigley

SportsAndLadyFor 5 years I've been sitting in the same seats at wrigley (girlfriends uncle gives me all his reds tix), theres never been anyone here besides tourists and reds fans. Tonight I spent that first inning sandwiched between 17year old kids screaming in my face when the Cubs scored
Leaving after I finish my beer lol -

mhs95_06Tonight is the way I expected the Reds to lose a lot of their games this year. I'm surprised it took until game 8 for it to happen. The only 2 losses before this were ones the Reds couldn't close out and were heart breakers.
-
Azubuike24Well they aren't winning this series so someone else needs to start the St. Louis thread.

Apparently the games you go to and the games I go to are totally different.SportsAndLady;1791715 wrote:For 5 years I've been sitting in the same seats at wrigley (girlfriends uncle gives me all his reds tix), theres never been anyone here besides tourists and reds fans. Yes, a lot of tourists go to the games. But every game I've attended (usually 3 a year) it has been filled with Cubs faithful. Even during the drought 2-5 years ago.
Even when the Reds were in town and good, it was still 75% Cubs fans.
As a lifelong, diehard Cubs fan who has stuck with them through thick, and the much more frequent thin....I will say that I'm not looking forward to the influx of bandwagon fans. I've seen them come out of the woodwork already, even in Central Ohio.
One thing that drives me crazy about Reds' fans...most are extremely fair-weather. I don't like seeing my team acting that way. -

Lol half the crowd are people from out of state who bought those Cubs jerseys 2 hours before the game. Just because they have a Cubs jersey on doesn't make them Cubs fans.SnotBubbles;1791910 wrote:Apparently the games you go to and the games I go to are totally different.

The stadium, since I've been going to games 5 years ago, is mostly tourists, away fans, and young kids.
This year and last it's a little different since they're good. Now their "diehards" are starting to show back up. -
Ironman92Dumpster fire
-
Ironman928-0 in the 9th and Cubs fans (drunj) are chanting "Duvall sucks"
-
Ironman92Brandon has mishandled 4 balls that I've seen in the last 4-5 games. Not complaining at all but not used to seeing it. Just cost the Reds a run because Suarez missed his 15th ball of the season his way.
Be nice to get a damn win. -
Ironman92Hard to imagine the bullpen going thru the meat of the lineup and getting it done. Sure would be nice though.
-
Ironman92Thank You Jay for the insurance run.
Edit: sorry drunj, wrong thread
