wildcats20Yup. All 4 wins were walk offs I believe.

I saw espns rankings of teams coming into the season and Phillies were lastIronman92;1790745 wrote:Weren't they 4-0 last season? Started off immediately hot I know.
Are the Phillies the worst? Padres in 22 innings have been outscored 25-0 -
friendfromlowry162-0 is a real possibility.

Doubt it translates the same. But the year before they won the division, they lost a bunch, but they were so fun to watch. If they could do that this year, just being fun to watch, I'd be OK with that.Azubuike24;1790744 wrote:I have a feeling this is going to be a team who has some talent, but will lose an exciting 88-92 games. They will play much harder, scrappier and execute in situations that have failed them the last 5 years with teals who could've done something. They will win games they "shouldn't win" against teams they "shouldn't beat", probably will be like .500 against St. Louis or some shit.
First example...in the 9th, 2 on, 1 out...Jay Bruce hits an OPPOSITE FIELD single against the shift. How many fucking times could we have used that over the last 5 years?
Of course, in 3 years, when it looks like they can contend, it will be back to falling "just short." Typical for basically every Ohio team...

15-0

Agree the Phillies look like the worst on paper. The Braves and Padres should compete with them. -
mhs95_06Seems like the Reds first 2 wins could be used to reinforce a good mind set on focusing on "next pitch". Both games, the big hit that tied (and/or won the game) were gotten by a player who had struck out all 3 of his previous ABs in the game. Don't worry about what happened previously, just do your best on the next pitch!

mhs95_06First 3 rbi hit of the season. Gives them the earliest lead of the season. Can they hold the lead for 15 outs? Just got easier with the first 4 rbi hit of the season.

HereticPoor Charlie Morton; he fell to a near-5 ERA with Ray Searage as his pitching coach and now he's with Philly. His career's shot to hell. Cincy was the one team I could count on him to do well against with anything resembling consistency as a Pirate and now he just got destroyed by them. Well, with help from what might be a historically bad bullpen, but still a shit outing by him.

SportsAndLadyBruce is killing it today. 3/4 5 RBI's and 2 homers.

wildcats20Couldn't really ask for a better start for this team. Don't really care who it was against.
