And Brantley. Sell em half the farm.Crimson streak;1752858 wrote:I know there is a lot of talk about Arizona possibly trading goldschmit this off season. He's younger, locked up long term, I'd do what ever it took to get him minus Lindor.

I'll take Goldy for Brantley straight up. Hell Id throw a prospect in there as well.TBone14;1752872 wrote:And Brantley. Sell em half the farm. -

Sure...but then we have 3 holes in the outfield as opposed to two (I would rather have Brantley and whoever at 1st in the lineup as opposed to Goldschmidt at 1st and David Delucci 3.0 in left) I'd rather give them Kip and multiple prospects. Or Kipnis and Cookie for Goldy. Or hell, see if they want Bauer back and throw in Santana and prospects. How much to we want to bank on Tomlin for next year? That scares me.Laley23;1752898 wrote:I'll take Goldy for Brantley straight up. Hell Id throw a prospect in there as well.
Kipnis 4
Lindor 6
Brantley 7
Goldy 3
Santana DH
Gomes 2
Chiz 9
Urshela 5
Almonte 8
I wouldn't hate that.
What's up with Jesus Aguilar? Is he just a perennial 4A player? Saw he knocked in 93 in Columbus this year. -
Laley23Goldschmidt and anyone in the OF gets this team more wins than Brantley and anyone at 1B. I love Brantley, but he rarely alters the game. Just doesn't have enough pop and is a lefty.

Heretic
Only 25, so I wouldn't think he'd be relegated to that status just yet, especially since he only has had about 40-50 MLB plate appearances. I did see that while he had a lot of RBIs, he diminished in virtually every key stat (Slugging, OBP, OPS), so that might have hurt him. His line was kind of weird in that he has a 19HR/93RBI line, but his OPS was a decent bit below .800 and about .140 before the previous season, when he also had 19HR.TBone14;1752913 wrote:What's up with Jesus Aguilar? I would probably agree. Goldy's combined WAR the last 2 years is 12.6 vs Brantley's 10.4. Both obviously very good. I'd give them any starter other than Salazar and Kluber.Laley23;1752918 wrote:Goldschmidt and anyone in the OF gets this team more wins than Brantley and anyone at 1B. Crimson streakCarassco would definitely be part of the deal and more than likely zimmer and Frazier. And I honestly wouldn't give 2 shits if it meant landing goldschmidt

Especially when that anyone is free agent Justin Upton. It's all coming together.Laley23;1752918 wrote:Goldschmidt and anyone in the OF gets this team more wins than Brantley and anyone at 1B -
HitsRuswe may have given up on them, they they haven't given up on themselves...Tribe up 6-0 in the 7th. Kipnis started the game off with a solo HR, Lonald chipped in with a 2 run single, and Santana has hit a dinger for the second nite in a row...a 3 run shot.

HitsRusDespite the two losses to Minnie, the Tribe picked up a half a game on the last WC spot. Unfortunately, the other teams involved picked up 2 or more. Worse the Tribe was jumped by the red hot Orioles who swept the Nationals this week.

TBone14Somebody else needs to start the next thread.
I gave it my all for the team. I fear we all are going to come up short, however.
