2015-16 NBA Thread

like_thatAlso, I fully expect the refs to let BOTH teams get away with anything and everything on defense. That seems to be the trend with NBA officiating in game 7s. They are all pussies and don't want to determine the outcome of the game. So, prepare for iggy to hook every players arm and then the announcers jerk off to his amazing playoff defense.

friendfromlowryTo the Thunder's credit, not many gave them a chance against San Antonio or taking the Warriors to game seven. I think they'll lose pretty easily, but the more I think about it I'm less certain. You just never know what Westbrook and Durant are capable of.
-
Laley23Thunder have won like 18 of the 24 quarters played. Warriors have never been in a position like this. If Thunder can win 2/3 quarters, I like their chances. RW and Durant need to play big early. Get out to a quick lead and then just hold on/keep it a single digit game.
EDIT: no clue what the actual quarters won is, but seems like GSW wins have been because of a single huge quarter and Thunder have been slightly better in most others). -
Benny The JetI think the Thunder get housed tonight by 15+

RotinajDurant goes for 45 and hits the go ahead 3 with 9 seconds left. Curry air balls what would be the game winning shot at the buzzer. We later find out the reason he air balled was because he stubbed his big toe in 4th grade. ESPN scrambles to get his elementary school bball coach(Fred Rice) on air for an interview, unsuccessfully. Turns out the coach hanged himself right after the game ended knowing the stubbed toe was the reason he missed. The documentary will be called "Rice and Curry" directed by Dr Bombay. Meanwhile, Skip Bayless is in the middle of his 36 hour ON AIR creamathon thinking about the bashing of Lebron and Westrook during the next 2 weeks. Skip does all the recording on his sick new Go Pro. Long live ESPN.

Azubuike24Reality, if the Warriors are an all-time special team, there is zero chance they lose a game 7 at home. The whole world wants a Warriors/Cavs Finals, which is amazing considering 2 of the top 5-10 players in the world are on the Thunder. It's a really unique situation.

Laley23Maybe it's blind bias rooting for OKC tonight, but I'll take them. 111-103
Westbrook goes for 34/13/14 and Durant 27/9/6 -

OKC winning by 7-9 points pays out +1600 on Bovada just an FYI (I have a $10 bet on it). I'm with you I just think OKC somehow finds a way to win tonight.Laley23;1797332 wrote:Maybe it's blind bias rooting for OKC tonight, but I'll take them. 111-103

61/22/20 combined for those two is a definite winLaley23;1797332 wrote:Maybe it's blind bias rooting for OKC tonight, but I'll take them. 111-103

Heretic
I'm not sure why it's amazing considering that (a) it'd be a finals rematch and (b) GS had the sort of historically great regular season that captivates the minds of average fans a bit more than "the other team has a couple great individual players". Seeing if GS can seal the deal and turn a historically great regular season into a historically great season has a lot more intrigue than seeing if Durant and Westbrook can become first-time champs.Azubuike24;1797329 wrote:Reality, if the Warriors are an all-time special team, there is zero chance they lose a game 7 at home. As for the game, GS by 15+. This has the feel of one of those games where Westbrook presses too much and makes 20% of his 25-30 shots because of how they couldn't get the job done on their court. -

The NBA already taken referee Scott Foster off of tonight's Game 7. In the last 2 years, the Warriors are 2-6 in the playoffs when he refs

I don't see how referees can just be switched for a game 7. Is this typical? -
sportswizuhrdCrawford - 10 games, Home teams have won 70%
Callahan - 13 games, Home teams have won 92.3%
Phillips - 9 games, Home teams have won 33%

Any stats potentially showing whether Crawford prefers OKC stars over GSW?sportswizuhrd;1797347 wrote:Crawford - 10 games, Home teams have won 70%

Ironman92Probably wont be able to watch much of this. I want OKC to win too badly.

Ironman92Refs all GSW....Westbrook can't get to the lane because nothing is a foul. Durant hitting for now but no Westbrook and no win
-
Ironman92Durant is game so far. No one else can hit. Refs letting them play pretty much. Making Curry work.
Freaking Dion needs to hit some buckets -
friendfromlowryI don't think Bogut knows what a legal screen is. He's been doing whatever the fuck he wants with them for so long he's had to of forgotten.

He about knocked Westbrook off the court early in the first. They don't call that but call Dion for the charge?friendfromlowry;1797352 wrote:I don't think Bogut knows what a legal screen is. He's been doing whatever the fuck he wants with them for so long he's had to of forgotten.
Overall though they are letting them play pretty consistently but that one I saw definitely needed called. -

Told you guys they wouldn't call anything in a game 7.Ironman92;1797351 wrote:Durant is game so far. No one else can hit. Refs letting them play pretty much. Making Curry work.

OKC has to hit their FTs. It cost them the game Saturday night. -
