2015-16 NBA Thread

Wolves showing what they can be in the future. KAT is a star. Freaking love seeing it, since I work with so many Duke homers clamoring for Okafor as the best pick. So dumb.
  • Ironman92
KAT looks he's on his way to the Anthony Davis level. Too early IMO to say for sure the better pick. I think Okafor is damn good when he's on the court and close to Cousins potential.

Can't believe the cavs traded Andrew Wiggins.

So glad we have Love instead of Wiggins. Wiggins deal would have been too cheap and too productive for the Cavs for the next 10 years.

I don't think the Warriors beat the record anymore. I think they tie it but not beat it.
  • Automatik
I'm going with tie too. I'd like to see them drop both to SA though.

They will drop one to SA. Getting 72 is no easy feat either; I mean they just lost to the Celtics and Twolves; They can lose to anyone.

Lol. Draymond is one of the most unlikeable athletes I can remember. From being a POS on the court, to saying shit like our back to back loses aren't real loses...to now this.
Draymond Green says the Warriors are 'bored' and ready for the regular season to end. sportingnews.com/nba-news/47010…
Yeah, sure. All of s sudden their bored cause they've lose a few. But if they break that record, he will forget he even said that...

Curry has been -24 with Varejao on the floor. Seems notable, considering his massive success with everyone else

If they called all the moving screens on GS, they wouldn't even make the playoffs. If I'm Lue, I go up to the refs at every time out and say "Hey, watch for moving screens, there seems to be a lot out there on the court".

Or if opposing teams PG actually went on Curry while he's playing "efense". He's almost as bad as harden on that end.

    Interesting

Also...I bet Pops sits everyone vs GS. Just sounds like something he'd do.
  • ironman02
The Spurs are going for 41-0 at home, so hopefully Pop plays everyone when GS goes to San Antonio. He probably couldn't care less if they go 41-0, but I'd like to see the Warriors really have to earn these last few wins.

I doubt Pop rests players against GS. He certainly will against the other scrub teams but not against GS.

Pop doesn't think like anyone else.
  • Iliketurtles
I know Pop doesn't care about seeding but maybe he will after not getting the home game against the Clips last year. The Spurs still have a chance to get the 1 seed if they win out and the Warriors lose one of their 2 games against the Grizzles.
  • friendfromlowry
Damn, I was thinking the game they potentially went for the record would be an away game at San Antonio, but it's home to Memphis. I just can't see them winning in San Antonio Sunday evening but who knows what Pop will do. I don't think there's anything wrong with the Warriors physically. They've benefited majorly from being able to rest guys in the 4th quarter all season long.

I have a (crazy) theory they aren't going to look as dominant in the postseason because teams have a strategy for them (and Curry specifically) they haven't shown yet this season.

I think the pressure is getting to them personally. I think the Spurs have a legitimate chance to knock them off in the West. If you remember last year, they basically were crowned as "lucky" for playing injury depleted teams in the playoffs. I think this year the grind will be tougher with having to likely play the Clippers in Round 2 and either OKC/Spurs in R3 instead of the cupcake walk they had last year.

I don't think Pop will play the starters in either of the games against GSW. Keep it in the back of the Warriors heads that the last time they played against the Spurs while the Spurs played their starters, San Antonio won.

Asked about going winning 47 in a row at home...
"It doesn't mean anything," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. "Absolutely nothing. Maybe a cup of coffee, maybe."

I say go for the top seed. That would mean beating GSW twice but it would likely give them the winner of LAC/Portland in the 2nd round instead of OKC.

    Hinkie stepping down in Philly.

I Guess the process is over

When the plan is "suck until we don't anymore", you don't have a real plan. He did an awful job.
  • Heretic
That was the saddest front office career in ages. Matt Millen-level stupidity and failure in effect with that guy. Lol at "the process" for infinity.

Anyone else rooting for Houston to not make playoffs because they don't like Harden and Howard?
