    So frustrating.

A week ago they were coming off of 4 straight wins, were within 2 of .500 and seemed to be starting a run.

Now they've lost 3 in a row and are 5 games under .500.

If that second wild card takes 87 wins roughly, that would mean going 45-28 in the final 73 to get there.

Time to get off their ass and end this no offense bullshit.

If things haven't taken a big turn in the next 2 weeks, they need to sell off guys like Murphy at the deadline for whatever they can get and just start playing for next year.

Such an ugly start to the second "half".... They coasted into the All-Star break and now it looks like they're hungover coming out of it. This team has just given away so many games. SMH. At least we can say that they didn't waste good pitching last night.

I'd hate to see Murphy go... He's having a great year. But his contract is up and he probably can bring a decent prospect. With the wildcard race being pretty tight not a lot of teams are going to be sellers, so it will be pretty tough for Shapiro and Antonetti to make any deals to improve this team. I think Murphy will be gone by the end of the month as well as José Ramirez.

    From today's Akron Beacon Journal:

Indians see sharp decline in TV ratings.

"Last season, the Indians had a rating of 6.17, which was the fifth-best mark in baseball and a 14-percent increase over the pervious (sic) year. At this year's All-Star break, though, that rating is down to a 4.21, a thirty-percent drop from where they were at the break last season. Only the Braves and the White Sox have seen steeper declines. A positive sign in interest for the Indians were those TV ratings, which represented a large portion of the local market tuning in every night and helped to off-set the low attendance numbers."

I am definitely part of that decline. I haven't seen a game in weeks.

The team is just not generating much excitement.... People are hung over from the Cavs long playoff run and the intensity of the final series against the Warriors. With the team scuffling with a sub .500 record in double digits behind the Royals, unless they start making some noise very quickly I don't see any of this changing.

From the outside and having watched around 10 Indians games this year...they aren't a real exciting watch. Pitching is legit. Offense doesn't have any big names even though they are pretty good players (Brantley got it going last year but hasn't got to that level this year with his back injury) I think Lindor could help change that and Kipnis is elite at 2nd but still isn't much recognized by the common fan.

Ugh. I would definitely not be taking Carrasco out right now.
  • Laley23
What the fuck is Aviles doing? That's minor league shit.
  • Laley23
Game should never have been in doubt. Carrasco was dominant, and Tito takes him out at 76 pitches in the T-7. Im sorry, but horrible managing.
  • Ironman92
I was watching the Open and recorded this and added 1 hour to the end. The pitch before Boeurgroiouis tied it the recording stopped.

No way any non-Indians/Reds fan can be watching this terrible terrible game.

Cleveland should've had 8 runs by the 5th...instead they had 2.

Reds suck and Price sucks...Indians trying to out suck them.

    I agree.

I was listening on the radio and Hammy described that Carrasco had a stunned look as he was called back from going up to bat.
