Tribe at Pittsburgh

  • BRF
Our Tribe comes off of a four game sweep of the Rays and heads to the Golden Shower.....oops...I mean the Golden Triangle to take on the Pirates in a three game 4th of July weekend series.

    Game 1 starts at 7:05.

    Game 2 starts at 4:05.

    Game 3 starts at 1:35.

Even though we out scored the Rays 26-8, we will probably get shut out in two of the games and explode for about 17 runs in one of them.

    Go Tribe.

Would be nice to get to .500 before the ASG.

Go Tribe!! I hope there is no raising the jolly roger over the weekend.

Trevor Bauer(6-5, 3.96) will take on Charlie Morton (6-1, 4.26) in the series opener.

PROTIP: Try to convince Pittsburgh they're playing in the NL Central instead of the AL Central and against the Reds (inexplicably 2-7 against them) instead of you guys. It's weird (and frustrating as fuck for me): they're 14-20 in their division and 31-13 outside of it, including 8-4 vs. the AL Central (4-2 vs. Detroit, 4-0 vs. CWS and 0-2 vs. Minnesota).

Could be sheer stupidity on our part but my girlfriend and I are considering heading to the Rivers Casino tonight right in the thick of this. That area, down by the stadium, is kind of a clusterf#ck.

Rain delay with Tribe up 3-2 B7.

When is this gonna get going again???

    Tarp coming off now.

Most the fans left are indians' fans. It really shows the difference between the cities with loyal fans vs. bandwagon fans.

ehhh I have traveled to many away games and sat through rain delays. its mostly because the home crowd can come to a game whenever they want, the away crowd really wont come back to that stadium that year at least. I mean, I sat through a near miss tornado in KC just to see the game. it was just about all tribe fans too after that delay.

Pittsburgh is a two hour drive or less for tribe fans. It is just a day trip. Pittsburgh is notorious for bandwagon fans. Look at how many Ohio people on this site are bandwagon Pittsburgh fans.

    We're down 1-0 in B7.

I'll bet it wasn't a day trip for the Indians fans that stayed! What % of them do you think are there today? Quite a lot I'd bet.

Turnabout is fair play as far as that goes.

Salazar has been so much better this year, but still falls victim to the blow-up inning almost every other game

Up 3-0 to the B5 and give it all away +2 more.

Hard to get excited about this team when the manager insists on playing a 206 hitter instead of a 325 hitter. Murphy has a much better OBP as well, so that argument is down the rat hole too.

Francona can be as big an idiot as Doc Edwards, Pat Corrales, et al. Guaranteed Hargrove wouldn't be that fuggin stupid.

29/30 in attendance for the season says otherwise.

So this concludes my 5th series of starting threads with 3 series wins and 2 series losses, with an overall record of 11-6.

I think I will start the next thread, unless someone else has an urge to do it.

No, by far you have been our best luck this year lol

Stuck with this team for 20 years of sub .500 baseball and I'm considered a bandwagon fan. SMH.
Pirates win the series, now go FY. : thumbup:
